Carbuncle's Ruby Ideas

Ill say this now, I'm only a lv37 smn right now, so if i suggest thing's that are rather pointless or not really needed, then yeah. lol

I just recently got Fenrir, and after the cut scene with Leepe-Hoppe, i was wondering why there wasn't a quest to turn in Carbuncle's Rubies since he said there was going to be a large demand for them. Since it seems rather pointless to make a one use item drop on common mobs, other than to annoy us with it. So im thinking there could be a repeatable quest to turn them in to give you a few thousand gil or maybe combine them with a Whisper to make a pice of equipment.

Carbuncle's Ruby + Whisper of Flames
Flaming Ruby Rare/EX Ammo Slot
All Races
+15 Fire Element
Fire Spirit and Ifrit Perpetration cost -1.
Enhances Fire based spells and abilities.(increased magic accuracy by 5 or 10 and damage by 5 or 10%)
Lv.50 SMN

Something along those lines anyways, when coming up with this kind of stuff, I'm not that great. I don't think there's a whisper for Carbuncle, so maybe have the option to enhance Carbuncle's Ruby after you obtain the one's for the other avatars.

Yeah, I kinda like that idea. I lost count of how many Rubies I've thrown away since I unlocked SMN, it's a rather pointless item outside of its role in SMN flag quest. Only thing I'm certain I'd hate is lugging around a possible 8 of them. Besides Astral Pot, this would be perfect for for an ammo slot. If they do decide to do something similar to this, it would go straight into a magian trial.

Why are you fighting leeches? I've only thrown away 2 rubies in 10 years. Easy to count.

Got a bunch while working on Parazonium Magian Trials, also SMN burns for Merits, I was already 75 prior to this being preferred method to level up.
