Cid wont take faded crystal

Steps:
1. Im on Bastok mission 2-1. I got a faded crystal from the crag.
2. No matter how many times I try in different ways, Cid still wont take my faded crystal.
3. This should not matter but I have finished COP.

I followed wiki guide exactly. I gave gate guard 5 light crystals and traded a fire crystal to the crag of dem and got a faded crystal. I then tried to trade faded crystal to Cid but he wouldn't take it.
