Emphasized Mob name on transparent blue arrows selection

Ok, please explain to me, why SE invented this shit?
As soon as i choose mobs in range with the transparent blue arrow (like the <st> command), their names grow up as big as the mob i'm fighting. That is so annoying to me as melee.
Am i the only one, or does that bite your spatial interpretation of distances in the game you got used to the last 10-11 years also? Does it hurt your eyes also? (Serious question.)

As a little add i still don't understand the blink effect on interactions with spark npcs.
You don't care for people while the interactions, but before. And everything pops back after you are done with this npcs. So why did SE invent that?

    meeow! m<(o.O)"M~~~

I dont know about the only one, but at melee range, the target name size is normal. The text only grows to the size of the text for a mob that's near you. It's meant to make it easier to tell which mob you're targeting when you have several bunched up. I think it's a good idea.

BlueGartr forum posts give me the idea that it may actually be a glitch for the unofficial windower applications, because of the alteration to memory addressing. The only people reporting it there are using one of those applications, while without, they don't see the glitch.

Have you ruled out those applications before posting here, blaming it on SE?

It's (the growing subtarget name labels) a feature, not a bug- at least as far as I've been told. Any changes to memory addressing (which occur with every patch btw) only mess up such 3rd party applications. Since the name label text is not created or modified by any such third party application, it is unlikely to have anything to do with this.

As for the growing names thing, it is really odd and I don't know why it was implemented. I thought it was a glitch, tbh.

Maybe a visual indicator of exactly which monsters will be hit by an AoE, so you have a glaring warning that a monster you don't want to hit is in range...?

This is correct. All targets within the radius of an AoE also have this effect applied. The purpose of this is to make it more thoroughly clear what targets will be affected.
