Synthesis from History Directly After Eating

    Hello, everyone!
Camate here with a friendly heads-up.

They say that you should wait 30 minutes before swimming after you eat, and in Vana’diel, for the moment, it might be wise to hold off on crafting items from the history feature directly after chowing down on some food!

Currently there is a confirmed issue wherein crafting items with the history feature right after eating a food item will result in an interruption, which causes the loss of materials and crystal.

After receiving various reports, the development team carefully investigated and they finally discovered that this phenomenon stemmed from a different system.

It all began back in 2003. There was a situation where players were able to increase their synthesis skill without losing any materials, and as a countermeasure a system was created so that materials would be lost under specific conditions. One example of an effect from this countermeasure is automatic failure when attempting synthesis right as you are changing zones. This is working as intended and not a bug.

This is a deep rooted issue and the teams spent some time to eliminate other possibilities to zero in on the actual cause, and thanks to all the reports we received they have managed to pinpoint the issue.

You’ll soon be able to craft on a full belly as the team is currently working on addressing this issue; however, it will take them a bit of time.

We apologize for the inconvenience for those of you who encountered this issue.

I'd give it a few seconds buffer to be sure. Just keep in mind that this is only when performing synthesis from the history feature.

This would certainly explain why, when I'm at home, if I try to cook two different things that I've cooked before, the second thing keeps exploding and disappearing into an unseen void. Thanks for the explanation. I was wondering what was causing that.
