I have a Logitech gamepad and a 3D connexion 3D mouse. When i have the 3D mouse installed i can not set up the logitech game pad in ffxi config. Is there a registry setting or something im missing that lets me select which gamepad to configure?

you should just be able to set the keys you want to represent the desired function

I fully aware of how to set up a gamepad in FFXI config. (if i remove the 3D mouse drivers the Logitech gamepad works just fine) Its that FFXI config unlike POL config does not let you select which gamepad to configure. (the 3D mouse is seen as a gamepad by FFXI and POL config)

In Win7 in Devices and Printers, you can right-click one of your controllers and choose Game Controller Settings. This pops up a window, with an Advanced button. In that menu you can pick your preferred game controller. I would wager it would list your mouse adn your controller. Set your controller as default, as this is what FFXI looks for when deciding which controller to use.
