confirmed... I went through and updated my payment info to the same cc and was able to go through everything. During the login process I did noticed that it says my content ID's were not linked to my handle and asked if I wanted to link them. Not sure if that might be a common thing that we are experienced that might have contributed to us having that problem.

[NA]Registration Server Recovery (Apr. 2)

We have experienced technical difficulties with the PlayOnline registration servers during the following period. These issues have been addressed. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Unfortunately, a number of customers may have had their PlayOnline IDs canceled as a result of this issue. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but we would like to ask that customers affected in this way resubscribe to PlayOnline, register a method of payment and reactivate their Content IDs in order to regain access to the game. Please see below for more detailed instructions.

Logging into PlayOnline with a cancelled PlayOnline ID will bring up the PlayOnline ID reactivation screen.
Follow the instructions presented at this screen.

From the Service & Support menu, select Membership Information, and then choose the option to change your payment method. Follow the instructions presented at this screen.
* No subscription fees will be charged for April 2011 regardless of whether or not an account's payment method has been changed.

If they say you won't get charged, you won't. They never charge anything except during end of month maintenance- you have the whole month to make sure they don't.

I believe this also. There was a confirmation e-mail sent "Subject: Reactivation of a Content ID Completed" in PoL Mail system listing charges for April but the billing itself seems delayed in this regard. I'm not too concerned if in fact double billing does occur for May. I do trust SE would make amends in that event.

SE states there are no subscription fees for April. While this may be true, FYI, I can confirm I was billed $1 to my CC for verification of "changes" to payment information.

it may say charged but i'm sure either once SE works out the issue they'll either issue refunds or be able to trick the system into not charging.

I can access my FFXI content ID after a payment through "Reactivate ID". If you get 5024 still that is no good =(
