They most definitely have the concepts for content to go with. I'm just not going to hold my breath. Even with all the Mods that the Japanese players got with the PS2 HDD add-on, there's still a hard cap, and with no new makes to expand upon, as long as they're in the mix it'll be rough to press forward. Even the Xbox 360 is showing signs of problems, massive lag spikes, etc. Not to mention the decrease in server population. Don't get me wrong, I feel this game still has some life left in it, but if they did a 'reboot/transfer' to the new consoles then they'd have a chance to extend the life even more. Still, that costs money, and when something gives you profit for next to nothing, you try not to change it. Not to mention, The only New Gen console I would see this game transferring to would be the PS4 because SE is about keeping people connected, and the only reason FFXI came to 360 what because of the Playonline login, something Microsoft didn't have to worry about. I mean, SE did offer to put FFXIV on the Xbox One, but they declined because they wanted separate servers for their users, which defeats the purpose of scores of functions in that game, and an unnecessary burden on SE.
