my friend who plays on pc is having real problems getting on the game he left this post on our forum

I have technical problems with my PC than I couldn't solve for more, then a month I can normally start FF, but when I try to zone - it crashes in 90% cases. Usually I see black screen and word "loading", in 10% cases it loads after FEW MINUTES, in other 90% - crashes. I've reinstall Windows (7 instead XP), installed new FF from distrib, but it didn'd help Loooks like something wrong with connection (but other programms works well), but I don't know what exactly. So I'm still trying to find solution... Hope to see all of youin game soon !

Not much info to work with, but:

- Any chance there's either an anti-virus or another program (like the windows firewall) restricting the connection for the program? You can check the settings for the program, maybe he just needs to allow the connection for Playonline.

- Has he tried using Speedtest or something similar to test his connection, and the connection to a Japanese server? There could be issues with his ISP, and tracert can be used as well.

- Also, did he reinstall the game using old discs (from before 2009)? If that's the case there is a chance he doesn't have the Windows 7 version of Playonline installed (can be downloaded here if that's the case), but I don't know if the game would even be running if that was the case.
