    Reagent Classes

This post is simply to give feedback as there is no way to give it through in-game means. I will not be participating in any discussion, but maybe others can provide more insight for the developers, as this is meant for their eyes.

Has any thought been given to removing the requirements for specific jobs to use items for their basic job abilities? Ninja is a standout, requiring the expenditure of money to perform its basic job function. It extends to other classes such as Ranger and Corsair who do their best when fighting from range. To do this, however, they must buy ammunition.

Compare them to other jobs that can perform their job role perfectly well without having to spend money on a reagent such as Samurai and the need to buy reagents for certain jobs seems arbitrary. These jobs would be much more entertaining and fun to play if they were as accessible as the rest of the jobs on the roster. New players want to try out these classes as they are very interesting and iconic, but they are unfortunately hindered by their reliance on reagents such as tools and ammunition. This is compounded by the fact that the game's population is not as large as it once was, therefore the economy suffers and the reagents you need may not be available thereby making your job no longer capable of its function.

This could easily be circumvented by making these reagent items equippable and not be consumed on use. This would increase the fun and accessibility factor of these jobs ten-fold. Balancing would probably be required to make up for the fact that certain abilities no longer require a reagent, but the change would be worth it.

It also extends to jobs that need to buy their spells for use, but you could argue that those are like equipment, and don't count. There have been several ways that SE has reduced the costs of these jobs... Ranger and Corsair both have access to recycle (which, shouldn't all ranged jobs have access to recycle as a permanent job ability rather than through a cape?), Ninja has access to Ninja tools expertise (which is on a Rare/Ex belt that many jobs can use). The only thing that hasn't been addressed is the Corsair's use of cards (unless I missed something).

For a mage to play their job (well, properly), they need to bring medicines. Should these also be equip-able and not used when used? For a fisherman to fish, they need consumables as well (bait). For a crafter to craft, they need to get crystals.

    TL;DR:
    - Most, if not all jobs need reagents (medicines, ammo, spells, etc..)
    - SE has introduced JAs that target the heavy users, if used right

    And, like Frank said, Crafting.
