    Magian weapons upgrade?

A lot of people worked hard to get some of those old 99 magian weapons ie: pdt weapons, eva weapons, etc. Anyone else think it would be a great idea to be able to upgrade those to ilvl? doesn't even have to be 119 115 or 117 would even be great as long as they can regain some of their former usefulness again^^

No, thank you. Some of these still old weapons still serve niche purposes, but old content is old. I'd rather move forward with new things.

I think one of the big problems with revisiting magian weapons is there's simply so many of them. There's gotta be over 200 of them in all. That's a lot of dev work for the few that will actually be useful. Would be much less resources to simply make new weapons with similar stats of some of the more useful ones and let the rest fade into history.

*shrug* the way I see it, they have an obligation to ilevel them. The magian weapons reached the 99 cap. So I feel there's an obligation to ilevel 99 equip since we didn't actually ever ask for ilevel in this game(not that I complain about it). I would make good on that obligation, but I know SE likely won't.

But frankly I couldn't care less about them beyond that. Ugly, generic low level weapon designs are ugly, generic low level weapon designs. I rather they sit there and think long and hard about nerfing turn ins related to RMEs than I would them do the same for revamping TotM weapons. In both cases it'd be for nothing but at least concerns for certain RME difficulties would get some attention rather than none at all.

They've said no to this already, I believe.

While there are fewer paths, the Delve2 weapons are pretty similar and, let's face it, if you were a DD it was extraordinarily unlikely for you to have anything other than STR/Attack. These days the DEX/Accuracy path might be more popular but Delve2 has that covered as well. For mages, I'm sure most just want to carry around the fewest number of staves they possibly can.

Moreover, the new Alluvion Weapons, while less predictable, allow you to create weapons that are in some ways similar to TOM weapons. You can create an Axe and throw Snoworb and Leaforb stones on it for Pet: PDT-, create a Sword with M.Accuracy, or a Dagger with Evasion.

I know I'm an elitist. Deal with it.

On the DD front, I always liked my Magian "TP Bonus +100" weapons, which are now TP Bonus +1000. With the recent WS-reforms, TP Bonus+1000 is legit, especially as an off-hander weapon which transfers the TP Bonus to your main hand RME/whatever. The problem with this now is that your offhander doesnt have i-lvl accuracy bonuses so you would miss all the time in Seekers. This is one reason I gave the OP a LIKE+2.

The skirmish weapons for pets are DT/PDT -5 cap pretty much, the magian was pdt -11. Which was PDT -22 for dual wield bst axes. Not comparable with skirmish -5 at all.

Also PDT-22 twin daggers were useful on Dancer for back-up tanking on heavy output mobs. PDT-13 gaxe plus VIT was also good on War for some situations.

Magians were a great system and it is a shame that they were left at 99, but thats life isn't it. It doesn't always go the way you'd hoped.

Magian weapons are way better than SoA augment though. It's more versatile than delve/WKR, but less random/gil toss than skirmish. Personally I'd want it back to open up some possible new builds/playstyle.

I agree that Magian doesn't need to be 119, certain path would be a lot more useful even if it's 115. I don't really care about it being old content, it's not like there's enough new content to sustain this game atm anyways, not a bad thing to go back to do old content.

The accuracy from the offhand doesn't count alongside the main hand. Only the main hand counts.
