What use would that be to anybody?

a lot, the lag in whichever zone people have decided is the bazaaring spot is really horrendous. even if you are there to shop waiting for the afk to appear takes a LONG time and these are in areas generally where people need to do things, like hit up the AH, a vendor, the RoE guy, whatever. Also, making people step back out into Batallia or wherever means the bazaar shouts will disappear and we can get to see the content shouts we are actually interested in. I know people feel the need to advertise, but frankly if they don't know to look on FFXIAH for what they are interested in and find who is on and bazaaring then quite frankly they deserve to have to run around and check manually. on Ragnarock it has even gotten hard to dump your crests as finding Shami in all the AFK is a chore.

I think the thread is a useful to the point that we need a way to sell those things that are currently "only bazaarible" hence my comment about a black market like AH where you can sell all things that can be sold that you cannot already put on the AH. .-. a whole zone yea maybe too much. But a hand full of NPCs that link to their own "ah" server that would be helpful for those who can't leave their character online for whatever reason (example I live in rural Alaska, we still have Data capped internet at 25 Gigs a month, and it costs $9 every gig over that, so leaving an online game on for me is not really an option unless I want to end up spending even more money).

Ten years playing this game on 2 different ps2, 3 different 360s, 7 different pcs and laptops from probably 100 different places and I have yet to see lag in a city bad enough to make me wish they would do something about it.

The only thing I'd change is the ability to set a bazaar flag on your search comment that allowed people to browse your ware list from the search window. with or without prices and/or inventory numbers.

Alternatively they could add a chat command that allowed people to use something like <bazzarlist> to automatically load their Bazaar items list to their search comment. Because while I personally list the items I'm selling in my comments when I bazaar most people do not.

I still don't understand why people don't do it, since I've consistently sold out on items way before my competition (who are right next to me) even when I have higher prices simply because I list what I'm selling in my search comment. And I also buy far more often from people listing what they sell on their search comment than from people hoping I can find them by checking everyone in the zone.

I don't know. I usually just find the best bazaar price on FFXIAH and then go to the zone (usually jeuno or adoulin) and run around spamming "/check <name>". Seems a lot easier than reading everyone's comments.

They could just Link the players inventory to the Action House in a way of a new option; Lets say Jack's inventory is 80/80 and has 10 items up for sale in his Bazaar. Now Jack is moving around a lot, isn't stationed someplace where others could check/buy from his Bazaar. Well all Jack needs to do is go to the Action House and select; Show my wares after he set them in his said Bazaar. Now Jack's Bazaar would show up under "Bazaars" in alphabetical or whatever order SE and or the players would like.


edit: Reason I'd suggested to link w/ inventory is because Bazaar(s) are already base on our inventory, I'm also feeling if it wasn't there would be a space issue.

FFXI's methods of trade are really awful and old, they need to do something about it, but not quite this.

I think reinstating tax is a bad idea, sometimes I'll be gearing up in adoulin and someone will check and buy something. I don't want that to be gone.

I wouldn't mind at least some ability to search where items are, ala ffxiah. Probably not very feasible, though.
