So, Square-Enix, what's next?

Dear developers of Final Fantasy XI,

I am a long time adventurer here in Vana D'iel, and let me tell you, my exploits are legendary across the land.

I have earned all three flags from the nations (although the Star Sybil doesn't seem to want to remember me...), plus Jeuno. I have stopped "Paradise" from falling to the ground, I have punched out a god, I have served an empire, and saved the past. I have reunited Aldo and his sister, knocked out the moogle mafia, and stopped that schemer Shantotto from conquering the world. I even faced against the legendary dragon named Shinryu (once he was done hanging out with Chaos).

So, now that's all that's left is to stare at moogle. Now, for an adventurer like myself who yearns for adventure, I need stuff to do. Maidens to rescue. Worlds to save. You know, that sorta stuff.

So, now that Abyssea's done, and so is Wings of the Goddess, what's next? What further adventures await for an intrepid adventurer like myself?

For the last time...make the Phantom Forest/Phantom Train a zone. In fact, make a lot of past-game locations available in an expansion. What's one more alternate dimension?

Now level your other jobs, finnish assault/salvage/Ein/Nyzul, do your empyrean+2, obtain atma of the savior, DO THE HUNDREDS OF QUESTS IN THE GAME, finish each nation's story quests and not just the main missions... I could go on and on.

Atma Checklist

Collect ALL atma and abyssite, this includes all of the Synthetics, ESPECIALLY the synthetics.

I'd like to point out he's not talking about items, NMs, Abyssea (for atma, items, etc.) or such... He's talking about wanting a new "main storyline", something I'd like as well, it would be nice if Square Enix would clarify their position on this, since they've not said a lot on the issue.

@Keyln once i beat raja and shinryu i will be in teh same position as you, and ya know what? i long for that position. I sit around jeuno all the time just waiting for shouts. If i had enough free time (like ever) then i would shout myself, but even then that doesnt' always work out. I've played this game for over 6 years and just a general feeling of completeness i would love. If ffxi did come out with a new expansion, i would get angry, like a retired cop being pushed into the force again to solve something he had thought he already finished. I love missions, its the one thing i always wanted to do in ffxi.

so yeah, it would be great to have more missions and i would be all over them.. but i'd prolly groan the entire time because i thought i was done already :-P
