Equipment Set Suggestion

Hello,

First, thank you so very much for the equipment set concept with the current 20 sets. I also very much appreciate the statement from S.E. on your willingness to expand this beyond 20 sets.

My suggestion is -- as a first step in this direction -- Provide each macro set its own set of 20 equipment sets. How one might do this is up to you. My original idea was to put the 20 equipment sets UNDER the each macro book. This would provide players with 400 equipment sets (one for each book / each job), but maybe there is a better method.

What I am saying, though, is equipment by its nature is by JOB (or macro book). Thus it makes sense to organize the equipment and macros together in ways where they match (such as jobs).


Second step would be to allow any macro book and set to reference any equipment set regardless of the macro book "owning" it.

This way, a person could have 20 equipment sets for each job (macro book), which is more in line with how people play their characters.

Finally, I'd recommend expanding the number of macro books from 20 to a much higher number (say 2 books per job) and -- of course -- the number of macro sets per book (if possible).

I hope I'm being clear and reasonable.

they (Community Reps) the mentioned that this was the initial volley of this change to test out the stress on their servers. Hopefully the test goes good and they will implement more as they (the Dev team) have said.
