    New Jobs - Kinda

    The main/sub mechanics are probably the greatest single component of FFXI and give it a true unique approach towards character progression and diversity.
    I'm not sure if SE was the first to impliment this system, but it was genius at the time.

    We once thought 75 was the perma-cap. Today, we know 99 will be the cap.

    So here's my suggestion SE;

    Synergy/Fusion Jobs that will be Lv.100.

    Hold on, don't jump me just yet. There's a lot more to this than just the "Lv.100" your eyes glared at.

    My idea entails the addition of new Lv.100 jobs that require Lv.99 in 3-4 other specific jobs, followed by a quest. These jobs would be accessible only in certain zones, with limits of 6 players per zone. Think about how in abyssea you can access atmas. In the new Lv.100 minimum requirement zones, you can access said new "synergy/fusion job" providing you have the requirements (needed jobs at 99)
    For example,

    I'm sure the community can throw out a lot of great ideas. Here are some of my SUGGESTIONS.

    I was actually thinking about something like this a little bit ago. It would be nice to have hybrid jobs that further enhance how we think of party builds, and sure they would be massively overpowered, but they could always add in specific mobs that would either need these jobs to take down (think of some final uber boss) or would add some sort of benefit. Think of Onion Knight from other FF titles. Sure, was a bit gimp when you start out but indestructible once you hit end-game.

    However, we also have to take into consideration that the PS2 is at its limits when it comes to data storage and processing ability. Sure, this is a relatively minor issue with the NA and EU playerbase, but theres quite a few people who still play on PS2 in JP.

    there must be some marketing gimick that can shut down this PS2 limitations crisis FFXI is suffering.

    I would suggest to SE that they announce the cancellation of PS2 support and provide a free download of the PC client to everyone who still plays on PS2. Many of the tried-and-true players would accept the "loss" and realize its needed in order to secure the future of the game.

    They can't get a lvl100 because of PS2 limitations, unless SE stops supporting this plataform it not an option, sry, your idea is great but the ps2 don't allow it to be implemented T.T

    Engine supports level 255. That's enough slack for your PS2 limitations.
