The Secret of Mog Gardeners; Not Really...

Well, with the Mog Garden event drawing to a close as of this Thread's Beginning (June 30th-ish, I forgot), I think it's high time we Gardeners shared a little of our secrets to help grow our Gardens more; let them THRIVE in the sunlight of our hardwork and success.

This thread focuses on tips that we can provide to others so that they can better their experience in Mog Gardens, or better for them to utilize the Gardens to suit their needs. Post what you are comfortable to share and save the BEST secrets for yourself. ^.^)b

To start off, my secret is the Gil Repository. It's nice to know that there's a place where I can store my Gil. It cuts down my need to spend it all in one place AND acts as a piggybank of sorts. I can still go in it, but I would love to see how much I can save up. It's also nice that I can sell my yields to the Garden Moogle and store the proceeds in my Gil Repository. Finally, it's a guilty pleasure to know that I CAN buy stuff if the need arises, but don't feel too bad that I can't afford items/gear or not.

So, tell your fellow gardeners some of the secret of YOUR Mog Garden's success! Let's Grow our Gardens together!

It may be superstition, but back when I checked my flotsam before anything else, I got much better items (blue pondweed, beastly shank, even savory shank one time). When I don't immediately run to it, I get an x-potion or something.

Personally, I need some help getting a calico comet. What truly triggers that thing? All I can put together is mixed testimonials of Aim for a whopper or Aim for a minnow with/without super baitball. I've tried the two commands extensively both with and without bait and I've received no calico comets.

I've gotten it twice with just the catch something command. One of those times even got 2 lol. Just a matter of luck and rng
