    when is next Monstrosity update?

    I'm tired of being bored because of low server population and only 5-6 jobs being relevant right now. I would like to see some updates to Monstrosity so I can have something to do other than stand around in my Mog Garden.
    New monster families, please! I really, REALLY want to be a Khimaira.
    More areas to access would be great, too.

    Seems like they're working on that large Monipulator vs Gladiator content along with expansion of races and areas.

    According to SE, we can expect:

    "Monipulator vs. Monipulator Combat
    Monstrosity Quests
    Monipulator Cooperative Play
    Additional Exclusive Content
    Greater Rewards
    ...and more!"

    While news of new families, species and increased zone access is very good, we need 2 things right now: 1) Things to use our monsters on and 2) rewards for using them.

    Let us do events that currently only our player characters are privy to. Assault, Nyzul, WoE, Voidwatch, etc. that alone would go far in making Monipulators have a function and could even be fun to figure out which monster is best for each event and so forth. However, you could go even further than that.


    Special event wise, why not let us participate in things like besieged and campaign battles on the side of the Beastmen? Give us some incentives to do so, maybe even make a Fiat Lux equivalent for taking over an allied nation's capitol.

    How about participation in BCNM. Maybe we'd have to pay the cost with the appropriate item (Cloud Evokers, the appropriate Orbs, etc) beforehand or something. Maybe we could get something for clearing certain tiers of BCNM. Maybe at the end, we could even be given the chance to re-fight mission and end expansion bosses that we've already beaten (Ouryu, Ark Angels, Promathia, Shinryu, Provenance Watcher, etc) and get a reward for beating that. Maybe even give us the ability to unlock a special pygmy skin of some of the end bosses for beating them.

    Campaign, BCNM/mission BCs, Abyssea access, NM popping ability etc. There's a lot you can do with content. That's not even getting into party play, Mon V Mon, eventual access to all zones and belligerency(uncapped and balanced for iLvl considerations) in all said zones.

    Reward wise, they could tie real endgame gear into Monstrosity. Like, I don't know, maybe we could have the ability to buy fragments of Delve/other content weapons and armor as a monster with PvP wins + Infamy? And then, in order to fuse the parts into something usable, we'd have to challenge a version of the NM that drops that particular piece of gear that is scaled for MON Vs. MON combat? SE could even make it automatically sign all gear gained from Monstrosity with [MON] for all those people who want to show off and differentiate the gear they earned from using a Monipulator versus using their player character. I don't know, just brainstorming here.

    What about letting us gain Merits and Capacity Points as a Monipulator?

    SO much could be done but they've got to get going on this stuff. I mean, in a couple more months Monstrosity will celebrate it's first anniversary.

    Yeah I literally beat monstrosity a couple of months ago. Ie got every instinct, got ever species/sub species, leveled them all to 99, and got every single torque and full augmented them on each path...heck even leveled quite a few on a mule now and still waiting for the stuff they promised us when they released it a year ago

    Out of curiosity, could you by chance post the stats for each of the torques when capped? I was hoping to see if I could come up with any use for any of them.

    Thanks Mnejing for the heads up, and awesome ideas Mefuki!
    At the very least I would like to be able to do more ROEs to help with the level grind (I can only imagine the convoluted path to get a Khimaira). But yes, more things to do and some rewards/drops would be great.
    (ETA) My mugwort thread got me thinking, it would be neat to add a "dig" ability to MONs, so we can harvest while playing as a monster.

    So just to recap on the gear. Fiend torque can evolve into Animosity Torque, Laceration Torque, or Goetic Torque. Augment paths for those are

    Path A: 15 hp
    Path B: 15 mp
    Path C: 8h/7mp

    Animosity Torque can evolve into Analgesia Torque or Hamrammr Torque. Laceration Torque can evolve into Ensnaring Torque or Sverrir Torque. And finally Goetic Torque can evolve into Farr Torque or Melioration Torque. Augments are as follows

    Analgesia Torque:

    Path A: 35 hp/mp
    Path B: 35 hp, 8 evasion, 10 def
    Path C: 35 hp, 4 mdb.

    Hamrammr Torque:

    typeA: hp+35, attack+8
    typeB: hp+35, str+3
    typeC: hp+35, pet attack +10

    Ensnaring Torque:

    path A: 35 hp 8 racc
    path B: 35 hp 8 ratt
    path C: 35 hp pet acc +10

    Sverrir Torque:

    Path A: +35 hp, +8 acc
    Path B: +35 hp, 8 eva
    Path C: +35 hp, +3dex/str

    Farr Torque:

    path A: 20 mp 6 macc
    path B: 20 mp 6 mab
    path C: 20 mp 3 mab/macc

    Melioration Torque:

    path A: 40 mp, 3int/mnd
    path B: 40 mp, 3macc/chr
    path C: 40 mp, pet: 5macc/mab

    Basically the only things that really seem like they might be worth it is maybe the pet macc/mab or pet acc one for the hardcore pet people.

    Yeah really. Talk about underwhelming. If they ever thought that level of gear would entice people to do this content then I've no idea what was going through their mind. Hardly any of that is of any use and the only pieces that are of any use are those with unique stats not found on that piece otherwise. Originally I was hoping some +15 MAB or +15 MAcc neck may come out of it all due to the multi-evolution style system it uses but... That's just flat out disappointing on so many levels that it's no wonder no one has ever even thought to bother with this type of thing outside of the obvious want to know such as you did it for I'm sure.

    Server population has nothing to do with you being bored, you can still accomplish things as everything is 6 manned. Try shouting some time.
