    Atonement - Outdated damage cap

    So I'm to assume every weapon skill will be looked into for the damage adjustments, correct? Will we see Atonement rise back to the top of the Paladins party weapon skill choice? 750 damage cap is quite bad now, lol. It should have been scaled up with the level cap increases.

    So taking into consideration that I really am not doing enough endgame to know what the average weapon skill damage spike is at the moment since trying to catch up in other areas of the game first.... Can I assume that 2,000 damage cap won't be too much to ask for the new Atonement cap?

    Please get back with me asap on this! Would love to know that the Paladins Mythic weapon skill is probably as weak as Fast Blade.

    if you have burtgang its an additional 30%, so 975 just to be competitive with ws like CDC and Req the increase in dmg should really be like 3k. It probably be less then that but one can only hope. Ive been able to get Knights of the Round up to 4.5K with the right set on mobs outside Adoulin so who knows how much they will boost atonement.

    Ah, I forgot to factor in the Burtgang Atonement boost... Thanks for reminding. Also, considering the information you shared with me, then yeah. Let's hope for a 3~4k Atonement cap. The way I remember it was Atonement either out-spike damage DDs weapons skill damage back in the day unless it was a THF or /THF, also the occasional RNG. So Atonement really needs to be up there probably again with the DDs average spike damage.

    That's my opinion anyways.

    That's honestly what I hope for. 2k isn't amazingly higher than other WSs on average and that's assuming you cap, Burtgang PLDs on the other hand would be hitting around 3k, especially if they properly gear as they should with WS DMG+ gear and such. In the end you could end up with around 3.5k DMG on Atonement which is consistent DMG, on some content that's under a DD but reasonable, on other content that's fantastic. In the end, I completely agree with a 2k DMG cap.

    To answer your question about endgame DD ws avg, in delve DD can easily avg 4k or something. However, in the situation you would use PLD and heavily rely on atonement spam such as AA battle field, RNG's avg WS isn't that high. According to my parse, last Celestial Nexus VD RNG avg 1.8k and 1.5k, and last AA GK VD RNG avg 1.5k and 1.4k. I only had 3 song BRD though. None of their avg WS break 2k.....they may break 2k with higher avg WS like JR but in the long run using low enmity WS lower the avg.

    Well considering there is a weapon skill update inbound, asking for 2,000 damage Atonement might not be bad in most cases. Also, I'd like to point out that Atonement generally did higher damage than most DD back in the day on things such as HNM, Einherjar, etc.. Aside the THF or /THF and possible RNG as mentioned previously. I do appreciate the feedback.

    Still nothing about this adjustment at all? They seem to prefer responding to smaller detailled suggestions such as the BGM option, lol.... Man, that's terrible!

    Honestly I don't see the reason for a cap at all anymore. Let it scale all the way up to capped enmity. It would be a huge incentive for a pld to actually actively get and keep hate and would also serve as an indicator of approximately how much they have at the time. And let's face it even if they were doing 5k atonements they still wouldn't be parsing high lol.

    Also since it counts as breath dmg (reduced by bdt gear and all those nms with bdt which was a lot post aht urghan) make it so the current +breath dmg equipment works with it and add more so plds can actually boost it with more than empyrean weapon or NNI body

    This is actually a really awesome idea and could be used as an indirect way to gauge enmity accumulation for pld. Though I can see a problem that could arise is from players that don't have atonement unlocked wouldn't be able to use this and it would become the new latest. It would force ppl to unlock atonement if they wanted to play pld. You'd see shouts for pld(ochain/atonement) onry lol.
