Yea I went and solo'd for a bit today. I'm a 54 dancer/27ninja and I went to garlidge citadel and fought bats for around 2 hrs. Got okay xp. Had my flag up the whole time and no party invite. But at least I was getting xp.

Ah right thanks or that, did not know how it worked exactly as I've never leeched XDActually, there are level difference penalties. Monsters that start out at ~100 exp for a level 75 will only be worth 1-5 for a level 30. However, lights the enemies drop, and the chain bonus, increase the exp floor per mob over time, so the minimum EXP you can get per mob slowly approaches the 600-something exp range before it caps out. If you join as a level 30, you get almost no exp at first except from chests, but the lights increase the minimum by 5-10 exp per light, so evenmtually you are getting the exp that everyone else is once you've been in the zone for a couple of hours.
For those who are "stuck", try pet killing. This was a popular levelling method prior to cap increase and you can start at 20 all the way to 75+. And since EXP is doubled, it is much less "dragging".
