I just wanted to make sure:
Will we be able to equip gear from both wardrobe as well as our gobbie bags? Will only equipment be allowed in Wardrobe? Or is it basically another bag that we can equip from?

Pretty sure they already said you'd be able to equip from either your bag or wardrobe at liberty. Nothing about the gobbie bag is changing, they're just adding yet another inventory bag, but unlike sack/satchel/case this one only holds equipment and we can actually equip stuff from it.
Well to be fair I dont see where it says it will hold only equipment. It is a really good guess on our part tho, but that is one of the reasons i made this thread. If somewhere it does say only equip please show me where, I would appreciate it.
My understanding is you can equip gear from your main bag and from the wardrobe. The Wardrobe only holds equipment.
given its intended purpose I am not expecting to be able to store other things in it- And even if you could, why would you? You probably have enough equipment pieces to fill more than one bag, so it makes more sense to empty gear out of your other bags into the wardrobe.

I was kinda hoping this was a system that you could store your equipment to whatever job you were on. So when you change a job your stuff would already be equipped, like how you can store and manage attachments for your automation... Damn.![]()
On the "Freshly Picked Vana'diel #6" entry, post #12 (May Version Update Preview Part 2):
It's pretty much only going to allow armor or weapons to be stored in it, probably anything that can be equipped to an Equipment square (Even ammo? That would be neat.) It reminds me a lot of XIV's Armoury System, with its equipment-only restriction and swapping on the fly. Granted, its not as convenient as another 80-slot bag, but just think how much space your Gobbiebag or other slots will free up now! I'm looking forward to freeing up 78 slots in my current Mog Locker, personally.Originally Posted by Akihiko_Matsui

for me this is a good start
Mog Wardrobe for equipment like magian staves, elemental obi, etc.
(if you put all of your elestaves, eleobi, wsbelts, wsgorgets, wsheadgear thats 64 items)
what else we need is
something for usable items like ninja tools, food, cards, etc. so we do not need to keep these in our gobbie bags
something just for crystals, clusters, geods, ites, etc.
Well i think being able to store armor in a whole nother bag will allow plenty of room for the other usable items you spoke of SMD111. Even in 14 there was a section for usable items and one for key items, and then the armory for equipment. I guess it will depend on how its laid out i guess.
Ok thank you Lyandra for pointing that out. So many people these days jsut come up with stuff out of the blue whether its a educated guess or complete bull crap and state it like its a fact. And its very easy to miss a post here and there or even forget something one has read themselves (Ive read that very post you mentioned).
Since the time they very first brought this up i was imagining something more like 14s system, so when i saw it is jsut another bag it threw me for a loop. It will also be odd for me putting things in the wardrobe and seeing some items greyed out because they aren't equipment. Now imagine this. you know how our gobbie bag is always on the right and whatever other storage is on the left. what about wardrobe? will it be on the left when moving things between it and the bag and on the right when moving things between safe/satchel/locker? Will we be able to move things between the bag and the wardrobe at all? It said it "will be added to the "View House" subsection of the main menu." So that makes me think it will be on the left. For a brief moment i imagined something like the equipment/automaton menu for pup where we choose wardrobe or bag. Either way im very excited bout this feature. I been shying away from makin anything with an augment i cant send to a mule or store on a slip lately due to room constraints so if this really helps i will be happy to finally aug some things (delve armors/skirmish weapons).
After reading the original announcement again it seems that the new Wardrobe will be like our gobbie bag you use to equip gear to the appropriate slots. I am wondering if the wardrobe only holds stuff we use in equipment slots, then the regular gobbie bag will collect all the drops, pi's etc. We will be running around with 160 slots. Now if my theory is correct, this is one happy mnk, pld, thf, bst, whm etc.
Now my next question will we be able to still equip from the gobbie bag also?
It's called "having a functional memory." I didn't "come up with stuff out of the blue," I remembered what the devs already said and told you that directly, as did Alhanalem. You sound like an ass when people tell you what they know and you're basically like "yeah whatever, prove it."
That's what it'll be. Here. This post settles that:
Look on that tab on the right. The second option says "mogu waadorobu," or "Mog wardrobe." Fujito is Yoji Fujito, the dev that's been working on updates to the inventory system.
The devs have said NOTHING about there being any changes to how a gobbie bag functions, so it stands to reason that you'll still be able to equip items from there like usual. If not, every single player will log into a naked character after the update.
