GM recommended I post something here...doubt it'll do any good, but I'm losing my mind.

I don't know what the odds that a Defending Ring will drop... but I've kill the guy 46 times. I've killed Behemoth 214 times. In the grand scheme of things I don't know how well that compares to the norm...but that's positively awful.

I know SE doesn't control the pricing of these pop items, but at current rates on my server that's 200,000,000 gil. Yes, I've purchased a great majority of these because there's no way for me to obtain them that quickly on my own. Looking at that number makes me ill...

My buddy went 1/1 on the thing... I'm 0/46. Jesus... There's got to be something wrong with this...

It's a very rare drop. People have certainly went more than 0/46 on him. At least he is a force pop now, imagine back in the day when KB popped once every 3-7 days...yikes!

I know 0/46 sounds bad but honestly I have heard far worst even double or triple that and I have seen 1/1. I can only imagine what would happen to the price though of said items if they increased the drop rate, because the demand would go up obviously and supply would probably stay the same initially but would go up eventually but you would definitely see a period of price inflation which if you weren't luckly enough to get the drop might end up paying the same amount anyway depending of how much the price increased.

I went 1/28 and a buddy of mine went 1/86 then again another friend went 1/7 lol so 0/46 isn't outside of the norm. I think the worst case I have ever heard of was like 0/100, even in that case the guy is still trying to get it its just that worth it in the long run. good luck once you get it you'll forget all about the number of times you had to kill KB lol.
