Ah yes very good exaple Wade, thanks for the input. Personally, I'd like to see a book in every zone. This game has too many zones that go without any type of vists from its playerbase, why not get them out there, and expand on people not having to rely on going to one or two zones only.

I know nothing is personally stopping people from going to another zone, but honestly, theres a reason why Cape Terrigan is so crowded, is becuase the options are limited on where to go!

Even if they don't ad a menu manual option, or something else like that. Atleast offer an option to the fact that when you complete a page, have a little menu pop up that asks when you complete a page, "Do you wish to continue your training?" and you can renew your page there and then.

I agree. Though @Fab does have a point that having a book in every zone is a good idea. I would like to have nearly unlimited options when it comes to doing some FoV. However, navigating through a menu to do them does just feel lazy and not MMO like. There's already so much things in this game to cater to lazy people that we don't need to keep adding more.

It also eliminates the need to needlessly travel to a set location each and everytime you complete a training page. This benefits not only the solo traveling adventurer, but a party as well when focusing on a camp.

It is a book afterall, let's not leave it in the open weather, and have us adventurers carry them to prevent wear and tear.
Dude, they served you up EXP on a silver platter... Could you at least walk to the table?

I just wish they'd take a look at some of the pages. Like Altepa-run-all-over-the-zone pages.

Um, yeah. I could walk to the table, but what is wrong with taking a little extra from the buffet and storing it in your poket for a time to be ate later when I'm hungrey? Think about it.

I am unsure how I feel about moving FoV books ... I personaly am wanting to see FoV in areas like Aht Urgan and similar zones where there is no FoV or similar atm. Same thing with treasure chest drops would be my change for them actually.

How about we find common ground? Say the field manuals remain in place. Instead of a Menued Field Manual, we have a Field Journal? We are able to take this Journal to a Field Manual, and "copy" a page from the Manual while we remain in the zone, thus, we can renew our current Training Regiment without the need to travel across the zone to the Manual.

Once you are ready to move on to a new page, you then need to copy a new page from the Manual.

Does that seem less "lazy", Andy? ^^
Saw a similar idea to this a long time ago in another forum. The idea was where we logged the trainings as pages in the temp items list. When we finished a training, we just used the page from the temp items list and registered the same list again on the spot.

The catch-22 is that you loose the pages when you zone (temp items), and if you need to redo buffs you have to run back to the book. It sounded like a nice compromise though, and may require less coding to implement.

A book in The Boyahda Tree, Quicksand Caves and Kuftal Tunnel would be nice. Also the CoP areas and ToAU areas as well. A lot of times, I have though about leveling in these areas, but it's hard to pass up free exp. However, when the servers merge, areas like Cape Terrigan and Ro'Maeve will probably be too overcrowded to exp in and we may be forced to go without the book.

I was just about to mention this but I guess Jalonis beat me to the punch I dreaded doing pages in Eastern/Western Altepa Desert because the mobs were so few and far in between and you would have to run a zillion miles just to get to a certain group of mobs. Now I know that that sounds kinda lazy, but since the Altepa zones are so vast and huge, it takes what seems to be 20 minutes going from one area with regimen mobs to the next. I guess the "Menu Manual" would seem to promote laziness, but I like it...as an avid FoVer, it would just make things a little more convenient. But, I don't think leeching a job from 30 to 90 runs in the same 'laziness' category as the idea that the OP originally presented.

Doubled exp actually made FoV books less attractive, because the exp you can gain from killing monsters instead of running back to the book now outdoes the FoV bonus exp. Unless you're in an area where all target enemies are really close to it. Maybe the increased exp also should apply to training regiments.

The training regiments were made to speed up leveling. If they don't do this because running forever between spawns to get to a specific enemy, or get back to the book causes enough downtime for it to eat up the bonus exp, something is certainly not working as intended.

Also, it would be nice with more field manuals. Both on zones where they currently do not exist, and additional ones in zones where they are really far apart, or far from target enemies.
