Can you all please squeeze in more ghost pops for the ship to Mhaura and Selbina? I can understand not wanting people to overfarm it but only one shows up per night. One! Period! There's no way you can reasonably get the spikes to drop at that rate.

Bump bump bump
My personal experience with this is that it is a very difficult drop indeed, but as with everything else in this game, persistence helps a lot.
That being said, I really don't think this should be changed. Just multitask. Work towards something else and then warp/teleport to Selbina/Mhaura when the appropriate ferry docks. That's what I did.
That's what I do, that's how come it took me a while to notice the thing only pops up once a night. Look I ain't saying to change the drop percentage it is what it is but If it's only popping once a night that means you (starting in Selbina ) take the boat at 16:00 wait until 20:00 look for it until the boat docks and if it doesn't hop back on and wait for it to pop before 4:00. Now if you kill it and it drops nothing you have to wait until 16:00 then repeat. Now I did this and even though I actually only took 3 boat trips (6 if you really want to be technical) it took 5 hours. 5 HOURS for just 3 supposedly nonnotorious, regular monsters to show up. Now like I said I understand they don't want people to overfarm it but how are you even going to get it if they are kinda making it like it's a notorious monster?
Please do not post if you are drunk, high or madly delirious from lack of sleep...HEY WHERE'S EVERYONE???
Oh and please don't increase the number of ghosts but decrease the drop rate, it's already something like 1% putting it lower would just be a turd thing to do.

UPDATE: It appears it isn't even showing up every night anymore...so yea folks just go ninja and do in the notorious monster for it, lot less time wasted.

Alternate fix. Add it to BCNM pool. Otherwise change nothing. Although you personally may not have the intent to farm/sell/monopolize it for gil, but RMT or other players will exploit that. The droprate is roughly 7~12% droprate without noted Treasure Hunter levels. It's just one of those things we have to deal with. Also considering the effects of the spell and how it's one of those more commonly used spikes, cause Shock Spikes and Blaze Spikes are well, not Ice Spikes. ><
Althought I do support the idea, I just don't see it as necessary.
It already drops from all the level 40 bcnm, and the level 60 Celery with the ghosts. Google, use it.
I know they have them in bcnms but I don't have any1 to do bcnms with thank you very much. Otherwise I would and wouldn't bother posting. And I realize there are still rmts but it isn't THAT many to keep using it as an excuse to short change regular players, they all ran off to profit off of FFXIV and ESO. Like I said I'm just going to do the ninja quest to see if I can get it.
