I know this would take a lot of work but one of the reasons I hate doing missions is because I have to constantly look online to find out what to do next. For the most part, FFXI does not do a very good job of making quest/mission goals specific.
I like what you did with the tutorial stuff - but I was wondering, could you expand it to help players get through missions.
So for example COP (which I hate doing but is currently blocking me from upgrading my hard won relic gear)
Chains of Promathia - then have goals for each thing. Make the sparks/exp minimal (5 sparks, 5 exp is fine) but just make it step by step
So to start the objectives could look like this:
Tab, the Rites of Life
-Investigate Lower Delkfutt's tower
-Speak to Monberaux in Upper Jeuno
Tab, Below the Arks
-Speak to Pherimociel in Ru'Lude Gardens
-Speak to Harith in Ru'Lude Gardens
-Examine the shattered telepoint at the crag of Holla
-Examine the shattered telepoint at the...
Etc
If each set of objectives was under it's own tab it would help folks who, like me, are part way through the missions figure out what they have not completed
Right now my biggest dissatisfaction with the game is being locked out of content by lack of mission progress, and the biggest thing that makes mission progress no fun is constantly having the immersion destroyed by having to open up the internet and figure out what to do next. I'd like to be able to do everything from in the game.
If you can't/won't do that, please remove the COP completion restriction on upgrading AF1/2
Thanks for your consideration.
