Help getting to Abyssea

Did you purchase all three Abyssea add-ons? It sounds like Jochim is telling you to go to Heroes of Abyssea maws, and you were trying to get into a Visions of Abyssea maw.

Visons: LTP, K. Highlands, Tahrongi
Scars: Attowha (via Buburimu Peninsula), Misereux (Via V. dunes), Vunk (via Jugner Forest)
Heroes: Altepa (Via S. Gusta), Grauburg (via N. Gusta), Ulegarand (Via Xarcabard)

will I be alright going to the heroes areas as a lvl 54dnc ?

You can get in, But anything in there will eat you alive.

More than being eaten alive you're going to have a hard time hitting anything. If you have some friends who can build a party for you to leech xp you'll level very quickly but if you're on your own just stick to quests for fame and AF for the time being. As a rule of thumb don't expect to hit monsters in abyssea unless you're at the level it was designed for (75+ for visions, 80+ for scars, 85+ for heroes).

Oh well I was just going to unlock it but since theres really no reason for me to go there at the moment I won't go >< I'll get the other add-ons soon. I just wanted to leech to lvl lol. But right now I need to do GK2 ugh. Thanks for the info.

Well the monsters start somewhere around 85 and scale up depending on how quickly they are killed. So alone, you'll be killed.
