Ugh I have no idea what is going on with trust/fellow dynamic but it sorely needs to be addressed. Just had my fella out and ALL THE MOB DID WAS ATTACK HIM AND ONLY HIM until he died. Healed him all crazy, didn't even matter they just wouldn't leave him alone until he was dead. No, he did not provoke and ayame and naja were weaponskilling but to no avail...and Joachim didn't help me heal either. Sooooo stupid
Ok I'll admit he was hitting harder than the trusts (~80 to their ~50 hehe) but still, he only got 3 hits in before the dhalmel started trying to do him in, and usually as soon as I heal the trusts it turns right around, definitely if I heal them twice, but not mah poor fella nope. And that's not the 1st time either, the other time (with another character and another fellow) the mobs mainly kept trying to do her in as well with noooo help from the trusts. All this talk about updating them, when they do will they address this as well?

The development team would like to make adjustments to bard-type Trust alter egos, specifically Ulmia, so that they select songs a bit more efficiently. However, as it is quite complex to have these alter egos decide on songs for different situations, this is something that will take a bit of time.

One way to have them do it that should be simple enough would be to have Double Marches as the default when monsters are 2 or more levels under the level of your/their target. If the target is between 1 under and 2 above, 1 Madrigal and 1 March, when over 3 levels above, double Madrigals. It wouldn't be perfect but it would be a great short term solution that would help at least.

However, as it is quite complex to have these alter egos decide on songs for different situations, this is something that will take a bit of time.

I don't know who is telling you otherwise, but Ulmia is one of the best Trust NPCs available at this time. Please do not change her behavior! Instead, take a look at her current design and use it to improve others. Trust NPCs should be unique and provide specific things for specific situations. Ulmia giving me Double Marches while Cher gives me Haste is awesome when I'm soloing.

I agree, I like Ulmia, although I wish she would default to the greatest need for the whole party, then pianissimo the lesser. i.e. when I'm using 3 mages and my summoner in a reive, believe it or not Ballad x2 is ALOT more helpful than March x2, all that does is let my mages stop doing ANYTHING faster. but I would like her to do some damage as well, and debuff (seriously, is it THAT hard to think a brd/whm might finale, dia and even silence a target? I mean I do it on my bard all the time).

Would it be possible to see the Aht Urhgan Warp Tarus added as Trust NPCs? I think most of the players that were around for ToAU will remember Shihu-Danhu and Kaduru-Haiduru. They could be black mages or just Trusts NPCs that cast warp on the PC when summoned.


I think a lot of players will remember protecting Shihu-Danhu the free warp taru instead of the Generals... at least I did >_>;

I love the Trust system and have really enjoyed collecting all the Trust NPCs available so far, sometimes forcing me to do some classic content I didn't get around to in the past. I'm definitely bummed about the new requirements for Maat though... Finish "Shattering Stars" on 6 jobs?! I'm a career PLD and have made it through the entire game so far with it as my only 75+. >< Not too sure if/when I'll be able to get around to leveling up more jobs...

This is her problem, she's using the wrong songs for the wrong jobs. When I'm on DD with BRD BRD WHM as my support, I want to get march x2 and then whatever, but instead they seem to get stuck in "support" mode where they put on ballad x 2 paeon x 2. The ballad's aren't that bad since my WHM gets them, but the paeons' are stupid. Yet she's putting march's on your SMN because your not taking damage.

The best way would be to separate the two BRD's and give each a focus area. Jochim sing March x 2 then have Ulmia sing ballad's x 2, that way your always covered no matter what.
