So I just got the game, can't get on the server where my friends play after being talked into it. Then I go through all the stupidity to start up by making a content ID, playonline ID, Square-Enix ID, and finally get it in. Logged out to go eat lunch, came back, and now my password is invalid? I've done all the steps in this thread and another to "fix" the problem, but it isn't working...and truly, I am sorry about Japan and all that has happened, but I can't seem to find a way to reset my playonline ID or find a way to fix this. Nothing in this thread has worked and it's only resetting my Square-Enix password, not the POL pass. I are a sad panda =(
I am currently getting wrong username/password error and obviously I KNOW its the right one otherwise I would be posting here! I have my SE account linked up with XI but the question that I have is since I have a XIV security token linked up to my SE account, will it work on XI?
I ran into this once when I first setup my token. I stopped saving my POL pass after I had gotten hacked a few years ag0 (in case it was being sent in plain text and easy for someone to grab with a keylogger). Come to find out I had mistyped my annoying POL password that got saved either in the game interface or at the SE site when I linked it. Went back and typed in newer, easier passwords and I got in just fine.

i keep getting incorrect password on POL for the XB, i know the password but it wont log me in
