Issues with FFXI in-game and PlayOnline Viewer upon zoning/logout/shutdown

Details:
This has been happening to me for the past several days. Whenever I'm online even if it's for an hour or close to an hour and a half, the sound effect glitches and the music suddenly stops playing at some point. Also, when that happens and I try to zone to a new area or use a Instant Warp scroll, PlayOnline Viewer stops working.

Steps:
1. Log-in the game through PlayOnline as normal.
2. Select my character as normal.
3. Play for about 30 minutes to 1 and a half hours.
4. Sound effects become glitched or out of sync
5. BGM suddenly stops playing
6. Even attempting to Zone/Logout/Shutdown the game causes PlayOnline to stop working.

Additional details: I have the Abyssea collection purchased through Steam with the Seekers of Adoulin expansion from the Square-Enix store installed. Why does this happen and why is it not fixed?
