Since the patch yesterday, I have been experiencing unusually long load times with the search and auction house functions nonstop, and now when I try to log out between characters I get R0 for about 5 seconds like I'm about to get "connection lost" instead before it logs out. I have also been logging into the red ball of disconnecting for the initial few seconds. Logging in to Playonline is also taking roughly 3 times longer than normal. I am experiencing this problem on 2 different computers with different operating systems, so that rules out compatibility, since one is running XP and the other is running windows 7. I have also tried releasing/renewing my IP address and rebooting my modem with no success. After rebooting the modem I am still getting long load times. (Example; when selecting to view misc. items in the auction house, I get a completely blank menu for upwards of 10 seconds before it starts to (slowly) load.)
MY internet service provider is Telus, and I have their high speed turbo 25 plan (It's the best I can get short of optic..) my browsing speed does not seem affected, just my connectivity and load times related to ffxi. Zone load times do not seem affected, but anything related to some kind of search function or logging in/out does...
(graphics card is a Geforce GTX 650, but I doubt that is relevant since the game was running fine before the Jan. 20th update. I had minor issues then but re-logging fixed them, and everything went to hell after the update on the 22nd...)
