    Day1 of my Fix the Relic campaign

    Change relic WS to fTP scaling! I feel that it'd be such an easy balancing fix. The Relics have needed a long overdue overhaul. Empy's can stand toe to toe with some mythics, and even some empy/mythics can beat out primes. But relics, aegis/g-horn aside, dont even hold a candle to any of the empy/mythic/primes.

    For example

    Coronach fTP 3.0 / DEX40%/AGI40%
    3.0, 4.5, 7.0

    Mercy Stroke fTP 5.0 / 80% STR
    5.0, 7.5, 12

    Scourge fTP 3.0 / STR40%/VIT40%
    3.0, 4.5, 7.5

    Catastrophe fTP 2.75 / STR40%/INT40%
    2.75, 4, 7.5
    *
    Metatron Torment fTP 2.75 / STR80%
    2.75, 4, 7.5

    This would atleast give them a standing chance, or desire to be made.

    I agree, this was the intent behind my request. 1 hour wait is not bad for a random single upgrade, but like you already said, if you are building a new job with artifact, relic and empy sets, Monisette is a major bottleneck. Would be nice if the total wait time for that could be reduced.

    While on the subject, it would be great if she just rejected the materials if you trade the wrong mix, instead of storing the rem's tales which you then have to take out again.

    Please let us convert extra Ra'Kaznar starstones, Ra'Kaznar sapphires, eikondrite, octahedrite and hexahedrite into gallimaufry. Alternatively, permit us to buy old cases + 1, old cases + 2, even ??? earrings of the NQ, +1 and +2 type for specific, player-selectable jobs, by trading some of these items to Ruspix.

    Examples of reasonable conversions:
    10 Ra'Kaznar sapphires -> 1 old case +1
    10 Ra'Kaznar starstones -> 1 old case + 2
    10 eikondrite -> 1 ??? NQ earring for a specific job
    10 octahedrite -> 1 ??? +1 earring for a specific job
    10 hexahedrite -> 1 ??? +2 earring for a specific job.

    I play many MMO. Nearly all of them (Save XI) are F2P. Meaning, they do not require a monthly sub to play. Regardless, old games such as DCUO, PSO2, and newer stuff like BDO, etc gets meaningful updates. Actually, far more meaningful than XI does which requires money from paying players. Champions Online maybe has, what? 50-100 ppl online on any given day lol? They have been getting new powers and customization for a while now........it is F2P.......Tencent has dough, but I digress....

    My point? Is it wrong to expect a little bit.....just a tinie bit more from XI? XI fans are loyal, throw em a bone. It is fairly simple to prey upon this loyalty, because if players are giving you their money, why should you do more if they will pay you anyway lol? I get it.......

    But yeah, lets talk about job adjustments as a few ppl mentioned here.

    BST

    Is it possible to expand charm? I truly feel BST should be able to charm anything that is not a NM. BST NPC have Wyverns so I mean come on lol.

    Maybe get rid of Beast Affinity and give a merit category to charm creatures outside of BST basic ecosystem? Example, there are like....12 families outside of what BST can charm. Maybe give BST those categories to charm but they can only choose 5.

    Even if my crazy suggestion is not considered, XI needs more love. Jobs updates used to be common, but jobs rarely get anything new nowadays.

    I want a better option for 60 minute high attack food.

    I don't want to use 2 30 minute foods, and I don't want to waste 2 hours of a 3 steak, until the ingredients are more easily available. Either add hydra/cerberus/dragon meats to NPCs or add their respective steaks to the curio moogle or change 30 minute foods to be 60 minute foods.

    Everything is based around 60 minute events, foods should be more reflective of this. There are no easily available options between 30 minutes and 3 hours.

    To be honest, rare food ingredients in general are sorely lacking. No one readily engages in Abyssea or Voidwatch or Legion or HNM anymore, and those are the only sources for these rare meats.

    Alternatively, leaving the kupowers all on permanently would fix this and other issues, you should do that. When tablets are found, give all of them instead of 3 at random as happens during anniversaries.

    Toss SMN into the mix while we're on the topic. Pet jobs in general can use a tune-up.

    As far as pet stuff goes, their biggest problem is simply they aren't getting buffs unless it's a pet party setup. I'd put BST SMN and PUP on the Barataria Ring or the Regal Necklace so they can opt for sacrificing their sub job to further enhance their pets. Even at ML50 they would still only be getting 1 roll and it's 59~% potency of a COR with the same Phantom Roll+ and with no job abilities to improve their rolling. It would also open them up to being better support replacement jobs if they wanted to focus on party buffing with their pet's abilities + subjob rolls. There is nothing to rebalance for Odyssey bosses going this route.


    Another route to go for SMN is to split blood pact rage into 2 categories. One for ones that contain skill chain properties and one that is for moves that can magic burst. Give them independent timers so SMN has 3 different blood pact categories instead of 2. That way SMN pets can regularly open or close skillchains and burst on them as well to make up for their inability to WS or MB at the same frequency as regular jobs. You could use Apoge to make your own SCs and burst on them or double burst on a SC that you help make. Blood Pact Wall is still going to be in effect for enemies that have it and you'd still be limited by your MP usage. It might even get people to think about using the empyrean legs for blood boon. This doesn't increase SMNs ability to do niche things like mewling more than it already can. It really only allows them to do more damage in a coordinated fashion at the expense of a higher normal rate of MP usage.

    I honestly think that BST SMN and PUP need to be looked at very seriously. If we aren't going to get regular content and updates, they need to be usable in at least Sortie without it being obviously sub optimal. Odyssey is a different bag and they don't need consideration there since they can all be used for something.

    This is a rare case where I wish they'd go back on being so restrictive about pets and changing it to be like how (shudder) FFXIV was before they basically removed pets from the game.


    In FFXIV, pets just reieved buffs from party members as if they were one, they could be healed directly, etc. etc. This was never considered overpowered because pet kiting is really never an efficient way of doing things, and it was rare that they were effective as tanks (the one time a popular battle strategy involved using a pet to tank (in the Ramuh EX fight) , it was nerfed by them giving ramuh the ability to one hit KO pets if they took hate) Of course, casuals complained about how clunky it is controlling pets so eventually they got removed entirely. Now Carbuncle is just for show and everything else is just graphics.

    FFXI has always been super conservative with pets- Even Light Spirit, who casts Curaga, isn't healed by their own cure spell. The only exception is summons recieving their own buffs, but not any others. For a long time, despite PUP having a tank frame for their pet, it was never really capable of doing so until much, much later. Summoners are not suddenly going to be super popular if they change this, so I really wish they would. Heck, we have Siren who can heal herself to full with every attack unless it's undead, why not just extend this to everything? I'm sure this is an unpopular opinion though, and y'all are gonna tell me why we can't have this even though SMN is not exactly a top tier job atm...
