The summoner sachet and pup animator only drop from DM v2. If you're looking at FFXIDB for drop rate, it combines the old original AAs, the New AAs, and DM mobs into one mob. As someone who does DM almost daily, I can say that those items drop way more than they need to and all of our SMN and PUP players already have it.

The only roadblock per se is getting into a group doing the DM fight.
