Returning Veteran Player

Hey guys,

I am planning to return to FFXI tonight after 4 months. But the only reason I really wanted to come back is to start over, because since I had been away from this game last year, there's so many new stuff I am not use to. Since all my friends are gone, I really like to meet new friends in a different server and to really help me grind my new character up.

I dunno which servers besides Asura are really good, and I'm not sure which job is better to be at 99 since I use to be a tank in the past and melee before I left.

So question is:

Which server and Linkshell is better than Asura
Which job is better to be at 99 and for endgame and to finish all the storylines.
For future references, I wanna learn how to get those tier weapons or what you call them hehe

If anyone out there can really help me bring my FFXI game experience back, I really appreciate it.

Don't know any other server besides Leviathan so can't help with that
BLU, RDM, BST are probably going to be your best bets for soloing the missions and a lot of content.

Best of luck, I used to help but a lot of people just end up quitting again so its a huge gamble lol. I'm sure you'll find a social LS though.

I don't think so! I've been browsing the forums by now and I might be thinking on trying out Odin unless there's someone out there who can really help me.
