The graphics have almost nothing to do with people leaving.but it is soo old now new new graphicppl ar leaving
Honestly, even though the tech is dated, I think the game's looks still hold up well today (though a texture resolution buff would be nice).
I can't blame draylo for being rather passionate for this game, and I must agree graphics do not really matter to me in a game either. However, I do think that this game deserves a second version to be released on newer consoles/handhelds/pc. Might sound like a lot of work, but this game deserves it. A change like this could really do something for the community population and hopefully bringing older players back.
WOW now doing goo job make new graphic and make ppl back to play why ffxi CANT ???
they can at least remake ffxi like WOW do ?
and ffxi make EU players run away 70% cant use crystal or VISA or time card just for US ppl ..
plz SE do something ;/
FFXI a realm reborn.
You want them to make FFXI 2 when they don't like what FFXI is and keep making it easy mode, if they did make FFXI - 2 they would just ruin it as they are ruining this and ruined XIV.
Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it.
huh Be careful what you wish for <---- i did not ask for a weapon to destroy the world ???
its is a game so what if they run ffxiv and ffxi is that hard for SE ?? others run 6 game's online and will make more ???
i like ffxi that's why i need better for this game ?? do you get it
and who say that ffxi is the easy mode it is the best and it is the hard way and more fun
ffxiv soooooo easy i am 50 war/pld/whm/smn/sch withe all relic and war full AF+1 and i have lot allagent acc and armor i don everything and i am now on T4 in coil the only hard thing in this game
XIV ruined is your opinion. when you consider 1.0 was a massive failure and XIV:ARR is a massive hit and they are activally looking at content to improve it. I happen to think the XIV community disagrees with your opinion. you might not think so but ARR is what the community asked for over a period of time through the forums, through feedback and surveys.
you might also want to remember that both the director of this and the director of XIV stated they wanted to keep both of these games different. and they are trying.
I would love to see them atleast update this game to full DX9c, that shiny water you mentioned is easily possible in DX9c. You would be surprised at the increase in graphics and performance you would get with just that leap. DX10 would not be a very good idea since we can already discern there are still players using windows XP and we want to keep as many players that want to play as possible
you should note the most advanced leap in the directx libraries was from DX9 to DX9c not DX10 or DX11. not saying DX10 and 11 aren't more advanced but you can do most of the stuff in DX9 that DX10 and 11 have to offer.
have a look. DX10 does look better on this but not enough to make a fuss over
http://gizmodo.com/243099/directx-9-...g-to-vista-for
and DX10 vs DX11 even less of a difference
http://gizmodo.com/5368037/directx-1...the-difference
I still think a upgrade to full DX9c is the best way to go if they do upgrade, it would fix a lot of graphical glitches and give us that "shiny water" not to mention a better less pixelated looking sky
