Ok we all understand the Balance within Final Fantasy XI and understanding that moving on. There are Members that would like for this system (PvP) to be implemented, Some wouldn't like it to be, As for me I really haven't made up my mind about it yet, Reason why, I been looking @ Conquest, Campaign, as well as other systems within game as it already is.
Another thing to think about is "Job" Balance. We all know some jobs overpower others that being said moving on, Every Job for the most part plays differently. But wouldn't it be very cool if you have won on a "Job" by battling against a "Job" that could overpower you?
Now looking into how the System is with Conquest and Campaign, Where players or Fiends control an area for that "Tally" Reward going to the winning team.
Now for the System I came up with, Its on going Campaign not like Ballista where you have to wait for times, Also 4 teams plus 4 other teams which are the "Beastmen", Yag, Gob, Orc, Undead, And they want control of Said area think of "Candy" out of Whitegate kind of System. Adding 4 more teams being Mob's would help those that don't want PvP which they could battle instead of using the PvP System and get points that way for their "Team".
Also 4 Teams of a different "Allegiance" PCs could Teamup Vs. the other 4 Teams "Allegiance" NPCs to help each other out. Note: Teams White: (Windy Yellow), (Bast Blue), (Sandy Red), (Jeuno Green), Can team up anytime. Teams Black: Yag, Gob, Orc, Undead, Can team up anytime.
Ok there's an area where you would zone into there's 8 sides "Teams" you can only choose from 4, Will just use colors for now: Red, Blue, Yellow, Green. Think of a big map, and PCs and NPCs walking around "Unclaimed" You have the option to put PvP up. Depending on which color "Allegiance" you picked that's the team you're working for. Ok Bob, Will, Sue, Tim, Reason why these Members are battling it out, Cause they want their side to be able to Do BCNMs, KSNMs, Quests, Each sides has different "Ones" and different rewards for that area. Also can be like a "Capture the flag" which the winning "Team" Would get Xp bonuses for that "Tally".
Claimed: If Tim and Sue, is battling it out no one can join unless their on the same team and within the party.
Now lets say: Will, and Bob, battling it out and Ken, zones in and realize Bob, is battling it out with Will, Ken, Would put their PvP up and ask Bob, does he need/want a hand. Now if Bob, doesn't want to be bothered with Members "Asking" he would have "Block on. Its up to Bob, to accept the help or not, Which if he does accept will invite Ken, to party. Also Ken, Didn't have to join Bob, He could of just went on his way looking for NPC or a PC to PvP with, But knowing Bob, He wanted to help a Buddy out.
Ok now for Sue, She doesn't like PvP at all but she doesn't have to put her PvP up. Sue, Would still have to pick a side "Allegiance" Cause Sue, Will be battling against the "Beastmen" In order to do the BCNMs, KSNMs, Quests, that area.
Reason PvP could help FFXI: We all don't want Final Fantasy XI to die, This could bring in more Members.
PS: I'm not for PvP and not against it, Just trying to understand it.
I'm leaning towards that way to Yarly.
One reason cause there are members not "All" That would abuse the PvP (Player versus player) System, Also there are members not "All" that would spam members to PvP which would become Annoying! In that would take away from that comfort and enjoyment that Final Fantasy XI has grow to be.
