Item instantly dropped to the ground

Steps:
1) Have a full Inventory.
2) Have Quartermaster set to yourself (only person in zone)
3) Use Sneak Attack and Assassin's Charge.
4) Run up behind Nandi, engage, and use Rudra's Storm before it is claimed.
5) Observe a Rathe Earring drop straight to the ground.

Normally items hang in the pool for 5 minutes if they drop and you have a full inventory. This is not the case when you have Quartermaster on, which seems like oversight. This one just went straight to the ground. I do not care about Rathe earring per se, but if this is a more general bug then I think it should probably be addressed.
