Some other things that might help those of us still around:
Reducing the amount of HMP required to upgrade a Empy from 95~99 to 750 (or making more voidwatch monsters drop pouches/increase pouches min and max amounts would work too).
Reducing the amount of Alexandrite needed for a mythic to 15,000 (again making alexandrite easier to obtain by increasing drop rates in salvage, Neo Nyzul etc... would be acceptable too).
Now a lot of people will be all WTF mate why would you say such things are you lazy?
And the answer is no, but after watching all the changes to the game one thing that has stayed relatively the same is the slow pace which HMP & Alex accrue. There have been changes to the systems which provide these items that have been helpful yes, but they still accrue at a fraction of the speed that one could farm up currency for a relic. And in addition to a large item grind Empy & Mythics have a lot more prerequisites than a relic. So saying that reducing the two astronomically outrageous items portions of these weapons really doesn't make them any less time consuming. Assault missions along will take 100 days (1 tag per day 50 missions, must complete all of them twice). So in the name of balance it would only be fair to lessen the amount of Alex and HMP for these weapons.
Next -- VNM system, you know the one that you get to chase invisible monsters around the map while healing to get a "read" on direction the monster is from you.
I have horrible luck so that might play in to this a little, but the upgrades from one color to another color needs to be changed on all of these (yes including the ones in Abyssea) for the love of Altana please!
now I'm not saying that every kill should be an upgrade (though it seems for my friends that is how it is and for me it is far from it) a player should not need to kill more then 5 vnms for an upgrade (5 is a fair number right??) so how do that? Well increasing the base rate substantially or add an ROE objective that rewards the next tier KI upon completion of the objective.
Secondly the spawn system needs to be slightly adjusted in two ways in my opinion: Re spawns for all T2 VNMs shorten to 5 minutes (this mainly apples to abyssea sense there is only 1 of them), and second is that the the monster be spawned withing 8~10 yalms of someone who "rests" it is very frustrating when you are attempting to spawn a VNM and you get a 5 Yalm reading and then as you get up to move (which the animation takes a good 3 seconds) and move someone else swoops in and spawns it on you.
Those are some of my thoughts on what could improve the quality of life in Vana'diel
