I feel like the problem that I have is not inventory storage, it is the amount of equipment that I can carry with my character. With a WS set, and TP set, Idle set and Casting Set, and all the augment equipment, I almost fill my item inventory so I don't have any room for farming loots!

Sounds like the Devs said they are working on some kind of gear slot specific storage system, lets hope it is helpful. ^-^

The crux of the problem is not inventory space or slot management. It is the fact that gear swapping even exists. If they just made gear that had many useful traits and must be full-timed in combat, it would add more depth and forethought to fights and greatly alleviate the inventory problem. You'd still have to grind on the gear treadmill like in other games, but you don't have to carry around 100+ pieces of gear for a character who can only equip 16 items at a time. Itemization is horrible, and lack of inventory space is just a consequence.

I want more things to stack. I don't want more inventory I can access in the field because them adding the sack already added SIGNIFICANT zone lag. I can tolerate it (barely) now - but I'd rather suffer with current inventory limits (in the field) than have more zone lag.

I would, however, support more Mog House Storage space. The limit on the number of items in storage seems low. Or add a second storage. But only if it doesn't increase lag when zoning. I hate zoning into a battlefield and not being able to see any of my inventory.

I'd also love to have a search function in the mog house. I'd say half the time I spend in my mog is going through each container several times looking for that one piece of gear I seem to not be able to see at all.

    Greetings,

During the last Freshly Picked Vana’diel, there was quick mention of plans for an equipment-specific inventory and I’d like to go into a bit more detail about this feature, which we are currently calling the “Wardrobe” (tentative name).

The Wardrobe is a totally new inventory, but works with a new system similar to your main gobbiebag that allows you to use macros to change to equipment that you place in it. By placing equipment that you use most frequently in the Wardrobe, you’ll be able to reduce the amount of time spent shuffling your equipment between other inventory bags.

In the future we are also planning to expand the Wardrobe feature as well as add synthesis specific storage, and we feel this will gradually reduce the stress associated with item management.

Additionally, placing your valuable equipment into your Wardrobe should also reduce any accidental tossing of gear.

Development is underway on this feature and the team is planning to release it in May.

This sounds very promising. Now just make ores, logs, etc. stackable and you may never hear another inventory complaint again.

There is still plenty of items like Elemental Obis / Elemental Gorgets+Sachets and other things that could use a quest to combine them to a single inventory item with broader use.
Just because they give us more inventory slots doesn't mean we couldn't benefit from some new items or quests to consolidate items like they did with the Chatoyant staff.

How about taking it a step farther and making a new 80-item inventory for every gear slot?

I need it,I need it more !! I have only 3 jobs, but recent equipment change makes me having various equipment for these 3 jobs.
And I have to carry them always, going to inventory is not acceptable.
Not only equipment,Stones,Papers, lots of additional items joined our sack since Adoulin.
It bothers me a lot because I do cooking, which needs sometime 8 items.

Could you give us a little more "Yutori" ,which is,playing style not only fighting fighting and get equipment?
