Augments lost after 90 day break...

I re-sub'd XI this month and it already feels like a mistake. I was welcomed back into the game by all of my gear missing their augments: i.e. 5/5 dark rings, augmented w.legs, TH+1 sash (Abyssea chest) ... just to name a few.

I knew it wouldn't help but I called a GM anyways, and he suggested it was because after 90 days of account inactivity 'data loss can happen'. Very disappointed as usual, I don't know why I expect more of SE or this game any more.

I wouldn't want to "waste" my one time restore on these items (and assume I could only do it on one anyways), but they should really fix this.

Try pushing the - key on the keypad while over the item in question. Any items that have a triangle on the bottom corner have additional pages of stats.

You should have lost nothing, as explained by Mefuki above, in an update 2 months ago, during your time away from the game, they made it so that all augments were hidden on a second page. This was done to condense the item details, since they had grown to large with Adoulin, and to make it easier to tell stats from augments. By pushing the same button or key you use for your menu, it will change pages on your items, which should allow you to see your augments. Any item with a filled in upside down white triangle, has a second page, and thus likely has augments.

My only hope is that you did not drop or NPC these items thinking they were of no use anymore.

Well that's funny, then either the GM was trolling me or he didn't know himself - haha! When he mentioned 'data loss' I just immediately jumped to conclusions it was gone - I truly am embittered after RME. Anyways thanks for your help.

I am not so sure its a matter of trolling or not knowing, I honestly think its more that they just expected you to have already known, or did not think of it as being the potential cause, much like other things in this game, they tell us nothing about it besides in the update notes, which leaves those such as yourself who did not read them out in the dark with no clue what's going on.

Well Demonjustin, I'm not an SE rep. Just stating facts here, he came in attacking and swinging for no reason. Maybe clam down and breathe.

Oh I know, but in a way it makes sense, everything he had augment wise was unable to be seen, he asked a GM, they never thought to tell him of the update, and instead made him worry about data corruption. I can understand why he would be upset, I would have been too.

How about you have respect for the people still playing? You think people like to read complaints like yours on a daily basis for a game they enjoy? I know I sure don't. So when I see your post it makes me want to respond in the same manner so you can see how you come across to people. You express yourself in the wrong way. This thread is about someone losing augments, we click on it to see more FFXI/SE bashing and complaining instead of a calm leveled question as to why they can't see augments. FFXIAH hardly qualifies as the biggest FFXI community btw, there are a lot of tryhards who think its cool to bash on FFXI there, otherwise I have a lot of informative posts during my time posting there.

Well considering this is a forum designed for people to post complaints/bugs/feedback, complaints are legitimate Draylo. If you don't like looking at complaints, then why on god's green earth are you on a forum -designed- for that?

Exactly. The fact that Draylo is on here complaining about people complaining just makes me shake my head.
