People would end up annoyed, filter it - then forget it was ever there.

Instead of adding something so silly, why not learn to use the comment/search system?

the fact that sooo many people just sit and wait in jeuno for people to shout for something they wanna do is just depressing. i personally do not want to solo, or get other things i need because i do not wanna miss out on getting the last zone boss or cat that i need.

having some way of eliminating sitting in jeuno watching shouts are needed. this seems like a good way to solve it, but honestly i'm open to any suggestion

Ok I wanted to revisit this idea... After spending much time waititng on shouts in port jueno i think we need something like this. I dont want have ask ls mates to see if they see shouts... Plus I am sick of sitting around browsing the ah for npcables or doing synergy just waiting on a specfic shout or something. No way am I happy with this. I like a way to be linked to others and be off enjoying my game doing something not sitting in town.
I can see areas excluded in range of effect like inside abby or dynamis etc because in there you are buzy. But why not implement this? People can be off working trials soloing doing quets etc etc and ejoying a game not waititng on a shout. I can see a filter again being a good addition. And maybe a cooldown timer so people dont spam this as a idea. For people closed minded to this doesnt realize the actual implications this would open up to the world/server and game alowing you to muti task while still saying connceted to whats happening.

I think is a good idea to have it, sometimes i wanna do something else while waiting for the desired shout, but i can't because if i go from Jeuno i would miss it, this way one can go do other things and keep informed about what players are asking to do.

I wanted to revist the idea once again and bring this to people's attention I have found another similar thread on here and posted the thread info how to get here.
I know on phoneix atm its chaos logging into or out of port jueno. Causing me and many my friends to lose connection and redo it in access of 1-22 times trying to get on. If this was implemented the gathering in one specific zones to watch shouts wqould no longer also cause the congestion you seem to be having in port jueno. As people could be anywhere in the game (could make some places not recivie them) and would help on this then having tons of ppl standing in one zone.

Sever /sh would be good but only if you could turn it off when you do not want to see it. Also with all the AH being linked and a world /sh there would be no reason to live in Jeuno all the time.

What is it with the haters in this thread? If you don't want it, simply filter it.

I can see huge benefits in implementing at least a region shout. A world shout would be useful too, but I think having a shout channel for all cities would be a better thing to implement. Both should probably be limited in how often you could use it. For region shouts, perhaps one message per minute. For city shouts, maybe one per 5 minutes.

I guess it would be enough if city channels were limited to just one area in each city too. Like for example all the port zones.
