    Am I going crazy...Skirmish upgrades

    I don't understand the upgrades

    1) there is no way to change your mind and cancel, I lost a +2 stone which I tried as my first upgrade on my first weapon. The Augment sucked, and it looked as if you could change your mind but instead it just put it to my orignal +1 stats and kept my +2. So, live and learn.

    2) Then I had a couple of +1's, so the first +1 was way better than the +2, but not great but I kept it. Tried another +1 was worse so, knowing that I would loose the stone I kept it at the original +1 stone stats.

    3) Now I will not try +2's, I'll sell them

    4) decided to do the set of armor I had aquired, used my two stacks of NQ stones and got some reasonable stats in the augments for a NQ stone. I went and bought a +1 for my leg armor (I had only one NQ stone left when I did the pants) and it gave me exactly what the NQ stone had given me "Physical Damage taken -1%"...no change and I lost the stone. I saw it quite often when doing the single NQ stone, that there would be no change at all between the stats and the post stats of the augment.

SE...don't you think that a +1 and +2 would at least have a minimum group, for 1.2mil which is what the +2's sell for on this server you should get something in return. The +1 beat it. I don't buy stones, I just get them in runs, but I'm selling the big ones, its not worth using. Also, why can't we op out of the transaction that is a lot to loose. And why!! would the +1 give me the exact same "Physical Damage taken -1%" that the NQ stone had given me.

    It's either something like:
    NQ = 0-50% augment power
    +1 = 25%-75% augment power
    +2 = 50%-100% augment power

    Or something like:

    NQ = 0-50% augment power
    +1 = 0%-75% augment power
    +2 = 0%-100% augment power

Either way, you'll be able to get bad augments, but if it's the second then they really did us wrong. (Edited to say that.)

OP is right though, +2 stone can give you complete crap, like merely 1% PDT and nothing else. Seen it myself.

You are experiencing the exact reason I completely despise completely luck based random augments. There is nothing you can really do to change it, you might get lucky and get godly stats, or you could get complete trash for stats, who knows.

It wouldn't be a problem if we had a reliable, known method to get our coffers to rank up during Skirmish II. Supply could keep up with demand. Unfortunately, that mystery hasn't been solved, and so even the event itself is beset with random rewards (which are used to do random augments). That's far too much random for one event.

Nah, it'd still be a problem.

+2s having the same, or even similar, floor as NQs is bs.

Preferably, it shoulda been more like the delve system.. Or rather, make the NQ's give the random augment, and +1s and +2s upgrade from that, like the delve system. So you could pop nqs til you got an augment style you liked, and then pop +1s and +2s to beef it up/cap it out.

Hell even if the augment system was something like...

    NQ: 0~40% Augment Potency.
    +1: 30~70% Augment Potency.
    +2: 60~100% Augment Potency.

Then it would be fine. +2s always give something good, +1s are capable of beating it on their high end if +2s are on their low end, but +2s are overall better, as +1s are overall better than NQs, and NQs are overall quite weak. But instead, it feels like its.

    NQ
    80% Chance of bad augments.
    15% Chance of decent augments.
    5% Chance at great augments.

    +1
    60% Chance of bad augments.
    30% Chance of decent augments.
    10% Chance at great augments.

    +2
    40% Chance of bad augments.
    40% Chance of decent augments.
    20% Chance at great augments.

Or at least to me, its how it feels.

I don't understand why people even bother chasing good augments on this gear. Use +1's and get a halfway decent augment and move on.

Its item level 113 , item level cap for gear is 120

You'll be throwing this stuff away in a few months or storing it and using newer stuff given the trend of gear being introduced+outdated so fast in this expansion.

From the melee side of things the Cizin and Otro sets are extremely good Hybrid pieces.

+2s always give 3-4 -PDT. They also always give a 2nd augment most of the time its "great" (in SEs mind +8acc/att is great) but not DA2 which is what everyone is after.
