FFXIV Sold out

That's the headlines i'm expecting to see on the day of Launch. I mean after seeing a video like this.

Heck FFXIV looks way better than the Diablo III vids I've seen before launch. And that game took over a decade to be released. At least I don't see FFXIV making headlines for players beating the game in 7 hours like Diablo III.

It's true actually.. the JP Collectors Edition sold out in 24hrs, and the NA and EU are also sold out, you can still find some if you look really hard.
The normal version of the game you can Download so it won't sell out.

Uh General discussion is a misc forum. 14 looks like it has a lot of similarities to 11. I mean there is nothing wrong talking about 14. It's not like its a different game from another company like WoW and Diablo.

Final Fantasy 14 is stil Final Fantasy.

Seriously? There's a collectors Edition? I didn't even see an offer for that at GameStop.
If its only in Japan, not a good way to start off a release.

I can tell you that Arcanist is extremely fun to play! You get a blue carbuncle that does magic damage, and at level 15 you get a Topaz carbuncle that provokes and tanks

The Arcanist itself is a DoT class like Rdm, and once you hit 30 you can go SMN which has Titan, Garuda, and Ifrit, or Scholar which has a healing fairy or a Buffing Fairy.

Words really can't express how fun it is to play. And I've leveled SMN twice in XI!

Dang ima have to run back to GameStop and find out if they sold out. Would be totally bummed if I couldn't buy the collectors edition.

Download link wouldn't be any good as I'm not ready to spend $700 bucks on a graphic card just for 14.
