What is the highest current Fame Level, some say 5, 6, 9. So what is it actually?

I've been at fame 5 for quite a while now ("Your name's making the rrrounds in Adoulin. I hear it on the lips of passersby rrrather often.") and I've done every available quest (as of August update) + a few rounds of the repeatable ones. I'm guessing that right now 5 is the limit.
