    EVENT Suggestions

    I thought it would be cool to help The DEV TEAM, Community Reps and everyone else at SE with an Event Suggestion thread. If it was already made before, this is a new one on conditions that SoA is now changing the game

    The way I see it, SoA may have a majority of everyone's attention but for how long? We need more areas spread out all over the game than strictly limited to 1 area for a short lifespan.

    That way for those who are absolutely tired of SoA won't have a reason to lose interest in playing the game if the person only has SoA to do and nothing else.

    I think it would also be fun to see what kind of ideas you would present to bring life back into the game of 11 years.

    Ill start off by making a Suggestion.

    EVENT SUGGESTION

    New HNMs Randomly pop anywhere in Vana. For example I'd like to see a King Super-Sized Yagudo Boss pop anywhere in Windurst Areas such as East Sarutabarua, West Sarutabaruta, Tahrongi Canyon, Meriphataud mountains that anyone can join fight with no claim conditions.

    It would be fun if these bosses run off or teleport to other maps shifting the player base to follow/re-find these bosses after a certain amount of HP reduction triggers HNM to run off.

    This could work for various areas of the game. Like have a King Supersize Tonberry pop anywhere in Yuhtunga/Yhoater Jungle.

    Reason it would be good, we won't be bored to death mashing macro buttons on a boss in 1 spot. And changing maps chasing, hunting boss would make it exciting with the various people around playing the event.

    We would have more reasons to go back to old maps forgotten. And have other reasons to do more than just SoA. Or whatever new events be added as a temporary fix to our never ending need for more content due to always reaching the goal accomplishments required.

    I also believe this will open everyone to play any job than have party leaders expect others to play a certain job which would accomplish 2 additional issues.

    Old content will have reason to be explored again.
    All jobs have an equal open minded freedom to show up the job they want to play.
    Which would give opportunity for skilled players rejected for various events using certain jobs like Summoner a different opinion in the eyes of others how other jobs could be included.

    Also many events encourage us to make friends and get to know others.


    What ideas do you suggest?

    PVP Suggestion

    I think adding Bosses and rare rewards in PVP based on the boss kill and not on performance or odd conditions would be fun in a sense that not only would you kill boss, but attacking others fighting boss would make it worth doing PVP again.

    Although adding a condition of being able to earn temp items upon killing another player would make the event work well.

    Also No claim conditions or unfair item distributions through party limit would make the event open to everybody. Having bosses respawn every 30 minutes would also give players on the map a reason to PVP while waiting for boss to repop.

    Or add PVP only equipment with insane buffs with a point system to buy the gear after accumulating points from boss kills.

    PVP was a turn off because the only reason we had for playing the event was to kill people. If rewards and PVP gear only items were available to boost any job, this would encourage us to do it because it worked well in Abyssea when we had to hunt atmas and do quests to raise our temporary powers.

    Chocobo Races, with you in the saddle steering the chocobo. With upto 6 players, and NPC racers filling in any gaps in the ?/6.
    With obstacle courses, hurdles you can jump over.
    And less complicated than the current system, meaning its just a basic race with you & your chocobo, with no food/gear bonuses or other variables, you win by having bred a good chocobo and your skills at cornering and jumping hurdles etc.
    With a server Tournament Board like in fish-ranking. And cool item rewards for the top 1-15th places.

    Revamp Campaign for the 2013 game. High level AN rewards and new mobs that are challenging to lvl 99s.

    Make old Assaults entry 1-6 so you can solo, and you get extra time to beat them if you are solo.
    Make new Assaults. And not in NI.

    More generally game-related less eventy stuff;
    Make mogbonanza bi-monthly.
    Add new HQ stuff to Mummer's Guild rewards for higher amounts of medals.
    Put an AH Price-Lock into effect so prices can not rise or fall more than 600k total / 2 earth weeks. This would stop RMT auction-pirates jacking prices all the time, and other people losing millions on game-related price spikes that occur after an update. I just lost 3m gil almost overnight this week when I sold my Yorcia Visage V at the then-current selling price 300k, two days later its 3,000,000 because of the version update. This system needs a spike lock.
    Abolish the random loot bracket drop system in VW which leaves ppl 0/300~ on stuff. Take that drop system outside and burn it on a pyre, while you dance round clapping and cheering.

    No more new events until they make a signboard system that will allow completion of older ones. Too hard to find competent/willing people.

    Its hard to find people willing to do the same event as you. Especially old ones. If RMT never existed, allowing other incentives for those who don't need to go back to the areas others need help would encourage people to do it.

    As an Event Idea to go with this comment.

    I think a point system with a flag option would be nice for those who don't need items from a particular event could turn on their flag sort of like level sync or Mentor status to sacrifice all boss drops and items in exchange for points that can be used for obtaining something else to match the progression of those who are beyond old content.

    Meaning if you are level 99 and went back to help someone do bosses in Sky, limbus, or any other place that you have nothing to lot because you already pass that area.

    Having a point system offering to win points rather than rares would encourage everyone to go back and help others with all older content.

    As for Rewards, DEV Team would have to give something good in exchange for the points accumulated.

    At least this form of incentive would be made to earn rewards for helping others.

    Login Campaign shows that this could work. The rest of the balance between items and economy would have to be made by the DEV Team.

    Aura Event for Helping others

    I think implementing an Aura quest based on how times you help a person or group would be nice. This would actually tell people how helpful a person is in the community. Rather than quick judgements assuming elitist.

    Having such a reward could also help others seeking help in a way that players who earn this Aura most likely did the quest anyways for naturally being a helpful person to begin with.

    Also if a person turns on this Aura would also indicate to those who need help they are available to help anyone.

    Different color auras as upgrades could be based on progression of how much a person helps.

    This would not force anyone to do it but offer something extra for those who do.

    It would also have to be something challenging to earn.

    In a way this reward could serve the purpose of showing people they are helpful, available to help others while also rewarding the individual for being a model citizen.
