Repeat Login Campaign 2: The Chocobo Suit of Disappointment

Now I'm all for fun and games as much as the next guy. I loved the Moogle Suit and all of the Ark weapons. I'm also not trying to complain about the actual campaign itself because it's loads of fun and most of the rewards are really good. However, I'd like to state that the Chocobo Suit +1 is not worth 4000 login points. There are already 2 items in the game that turn you into a chocobo, we really don't need a 3rd. Granted that one of them turns you into an adolescent and the other a baby but still not worth almost all of your login points in my opinion.

I don't plan on getting it but I do feel bad for all the people that got the head +1 hoping that the body +1 something unique or special and now they probably feel semi obligated to buy the +1 body even though it's completely awful. The fact that you can't send it between your accounts is questionable too. I mean it's not like it really does anything special they just did that so people would waste their points on it and I feel like that's just manipulative. :/

I understand where your coming from and if you like then that's fantastic for you. However, I feel like you could say the same thing about the item "Lilac," lilacs are unique because there's no other item named lilac in the game. However, there are tons of other flowers.

It's a give-away item. Most of them dispense food. Sometimes you get a happy new teleport. Sometimes you don't.

It's not a giveaway item when you consider the opportunity cost of the utility of all the other items on that list. I'm not dissing the event like I said, not even dissing the item just saying that 4000 login points is WAY too many for what it does.

If it gives you chocobo flee speed until the costume wears off I'd say it's pretty worth it. I somehow doubt that will happen. So, I'm finding it hard to motivate myself to bother with this round. It's the same exact rewards except for a couple changes. That's pretty lazy. We appreciate the stuff, it's better than nothing, etc white knighting, but it's still lazy nonetheless for my 38 dollars a month that's held in tact for 10 years despite dwindling dev support in favor of newer projects. There coulda been god seals, other sea drops, other ark weapons, and I could go on and on with the possibilities that exist since they went there in the first round.

Ah well at least I can say I saw this coming. Perhaps I'll save myself the hassle of pop items and just take the chocobo costume.
