You'd be amazed at the damage Stringing Pummel does in Abyssea with RR etc. It's a much better WS for RR than Ascetics Fury.

I've seen PUPs brewing Rani do 8-12k Stringing Pummels (Don't mention Jinpu or any other magic WS, those are a big no-no on Rani)

Blm has been and prob well always be the best DD in the game. I'm not a blm but its been like that sense day 1. It can do damage in or outside of Aby area's period.

1. the max you can hit is 8 swings per round, weaponskills included.hexa + KC is not going to do anything but give you awful damage because of KCS low dmg.

2. PDT/MDT sets practically hurt emp war's DD potential badly, they rely on a pretty picky set up in order to max gear haste and retain a 5 hit after ws.

3. drg has a similar af3 set bonus to war, at it gives you extra % dmg proportional to your wyvern hp, so @ 100% you get 2x damage strikes occasionally, which can stack with rhongomiant's aftermath, making it a plenty scary DD within its own right (since mythic drg is going to be beyond rare.)

i really think this thread comes down to ukko's vs drakesbane, similar wsc weaponskills, each with potential to do dasterdly damage. personally i love how drg makes all these ukon wars get out their calculators. much better than the whole loldrg scene few years ago.

You don't seem to understand... you only put the gear on for a split second for physical ws or magic depending. It's still loldrg when you compared Drake to Ukko but drg isn't a bad dd.

lolwat? drakesbane has pretty much the same potential damage cap as ukkos on perfect conditions. fights where it matters, drg is going to be swinging faster anyways, and out DDing you in the TP phase, (jumps can proc triple attacks and are affected by aftermaths from what i'm told, i've done a 2.1k ta jump before with contus.) those jumps can be equivalent to a free 100% tp bar inorder for a 2x light soloing with camlann's->drakes->drakes. etc. drg is no laughing stock compared to war and those who think otherwise are just plain ignorant.

I play drg and not war. DRG is not really lol but compared to a ukkon war your not going to keep up with it that easily if at all.

i really doubt that. people act like ukko's is some god send, whereas the best war on asura said he only average's 4-6k, not much different from my average geared drakesbane. i'm pretty sure FFXIAH users have heard of solara, pretty bad arse war from asura. pretty valid source to me.

Again I am not saying DRG sucks or is lol just saying war can out dmg it.
