The only other possible circumstance I know of in which that could happen is if your MP was at 0. If this is the case, it will let you "use" Convert but nothing will happen (because, if something did happen, your HP would become 0, and you'd just die)I am nearly positive it showed the animation and all that I used Convert yet nothing changed, I could be wrong.
Not sure what Zombie/ST20 status does to Convert, though, but I don't think Yumcax inflicts that?

Since Convert is a HP/MP swap and not healing, it should not be affected by Zombie Curse. I know Role Reversal still works, for example.
