reive leaching

I would like a clear up since i've tried talking with GM's about this and they all have given me difference answers. Is leaching on the side of Reive's against the rules of the game?

A while back they stated that summoners who went afk while their avatar was out and are attacked by a mob is considered a breach of the contract, yet when i talk to a GM one will state that this is under review and a friend got that this is in no way a violation of anything and another random person who was complaining about it got a GM who told them that it IS against the contract.

So again, my question to SE is, is this allowed or not.

I picked a reive in marjami and stood there while I did chores. It had several other people leeching there already. From what I gathered, there's about 1 reive per hour, give or take and you get 700 bayld for doing nothing. So they're pulling down around 16.8k bayld in a 24 hour period. It would take you about 71:30 hours of sold leeching just to get 50k.
I didn't see any backs drop in that time, but of course, it did take me 20+ hours of active farming just to get the pup back I never wantedas the only drop.
So if I sat here for 72 hours, I'd bacically be paying SE about $1.29 for 50k bayld. lol

It is NOT against any rules to MPK an AFK player. ESPECIALLY when they are inside the bounds of a reive battlefield. You need to be harassing them or interfering with their gameplay for assisted player KO to be considered as MPK, and AFK players do not have any gameplay.

I mean, think of the abuse... go AFK right on top of a lair reive target (like Avian Roost), and the moment someone attacks it, you call a GM on them for MPK! You went AFK in the wrong spot and got killed? GM the person that started the fight! Someone accidentally hits autorun and is forced to retreat from the reive with 4 annoyed birds in tow, who then attack you as the nearest target because you didn't move? GM!

There are less severe measures to deal with AFKers though. In many cases, you can use the knockback AOE from mobs like Tulfaires to knock them out of bounds. Often the places they hide are also the places you would pull a mob to kill it without risking more agro or links, after all.

SE could fix the whole thing by not granting reive status to players that are in within reive bounds when it starts.

This is the best idea I've heard. Think about it. You actualy have to ENTER a reive to ENTER it! Brilliant!
