INTRODUCTION TO THIEF

Thief is the best for those who are just starting the game. One of the reasons why I highly suggest playing this job at the start in FFXI is that you need to earn a lot of Gil in order to progress and advance quickly. Lets take a look at why this job can help you earn gil faster than any other job.

Throwing →D
Evasion →A+
Parrying →A-
Shield →F

Thief has Rank A- for Dagger therefore this will be your primary weapon.

Obtained: Thief Level 5

Treasure Hunter

Game Description: Increases chance that treasure will be dropped by enemies.
Obtained: Thief Level 15

Sneak Attack

Deals critical damage when striking from behind.
Obtained: Thief Level 15

Flee

Increases movement speed.
Obtained: Thief Level 25

At level 15, you will receive Treasure Hunter.
Once you have Treasure Hunter, you will be able to farm faster. One of the best items to hunt:
