    Astral Flow Damage

    I was using astral flow the other day to try out the new sash item (HQ one) and noticed i'm doing any extra damage with astral flow, Normally i do about 3k/blast but i think it might have only gone up to 3.5k/blast.

    Is there any plans in the future to update astral flow so it's actually more powerful then a merited bloodpact?

    Probably something stupid in the coding that would mean doubling damage for inferno (for example) would mean that the same applies to all astral flow abilities, including zanketsunken would have double chance of death, and doubles the % of mob's HP reduced with Ruinous Omen.

    This could make SMN useful, and is therefore totally unacceptable.

    I think the point is that they're AoE. Get a lot of targets together (like in a Colonization Reive), fire off an astral flow pact, and you're definitely doing more damage than a merit pact. Unless you're using Shining Light, Eclipse Moon, or Ruinous Omen. I don't know why they made those so weak.

    Astral Flow is fine as it is, imo. But the implementation of the new 1hr any time soon would be nice for a surge of dmg every now and then

    The main appeal for Astral Flow blood pacts isn't the damage dealt to a single target. It's that the damage will not be scaled down with the number of mobs it hits, unlike BLM AoE spells.

    Given that Astral Flow uses up all of your remaining MP, I think some sort of boost based on how much of your MP you have when you use it would be in order. A whopping 1800 MP fueling a spell had better put out some righteous numbers!

    Personally, I would more be in favor of adjusting the MP cost of Astral Flow to merely use a percentage of your max MP - much as SCH's Embrava and Kaustra do. Even a percentage as high as 40 or 50 percent would be preferable to all of it. It would also allow for a little bit of synergy with the new SP move that removes the BP timer.

    They said that no, They aren't buffing the damage output of Astral flow because they feel the fact it can hit multiple targets makes up for it doing a little less damage than 75 BPs.... Though It could be nice if say, The DMG Scaled Slightly to the MP Taken... I.E

    0~15% MP Remaining - Deals 85% of Damage.
    15-30% MP Remaining - Deals 100% Of Damage
    30-50% MP Remaining - Deals 115% of Damage
    50-75% MP Remaining - Deals 130% of Damage
    75-97% MP Remaining - Deals 145% of Damage
    97-99% MP - Deals 150% of Damage.

    Cause you know if SE implements a "Scaling Damage" thing, If you have sh*t for MP its going to nerf your damage a small amount. Something like this might scale but not be too powerful... as your first BP will likely be the only one who gets the full Benefit of the damage boost... Also You'll notice I don't include 100% MP as your MP will never reach 100% with an Avatar out ;o

    um... not sure if you remember but you need at lvl 99 198mp to pull off astral flow attack since its 2time you level in mp required. the 0-15% field for the first one wouldn't even exist (bar maybe 10mp difference).

    You would always be in the 15-30% with the minimum required mp to use it again afterwards.

    I'm not asking to boost astral flow to an insane amount of damage but considering that it takes all our mp to use it should atleast do at lvl 99 5k/target. Not asking like 6-7k damage but enough to make it worth while since our avatars finally got an increase from the sash that allowed their skills to break the 75 limit. An addition of 38 levels should amount to more then 300-500 more damage.

    Really depends on your MP Pool... Personally at 198 MP I'm @ about 12-14% or less depending on my gear... but as an Elvaan I can see your pain, as your MP pool is garbage... But generally i sit around 1600 MP on Mithra in Idle gear, as a Taru I imagine its much higher.

    Yeah, except in abyssea I doubt many people have over 1980MP to use astral flow at under 10% MP.

    You only need 1320mp max to use astral flow at 15% though so the 11-15% is probably plausable.
