I tried trading him items I got from gathering the garden, but no luck. Now I hope they add him as a minion in XIV.

His name is crab + bauble (something that is just for show or of little importance), so he may be just for show or of little/no importance. Either way, he rocks my world.

I've also tried trading him stuff, moving him to my moogle, moving him to the pond, moving him to the sea... Nada.
Didn't try moving him to the table... maybe we can EAT HIM!(0)
