Help with running FFXI on Macbook Pro via bootcamp

    Okay, has anyone done this?

I have a 13" late 2011 Mac Book Pro with Windows 7 Ultimate on bootcamp

FFXI installs just fine but no character sprites show up. Has anyone had this problem or done this successfully?

(Please don't make it a Mac vs PC thread. I'm a musician and Mac has worked WAYYY better for my music programs however, I still use my Mac for gaming and Office via Windows on Bootcamp)

Now this computer runs TOR with no problems. Idk if that means anything.

From my research I understand that the internal Intel Graphics HD 3000 card could be the issue

I need help! I've been at this for days now.

I've installed and ran it with no problems. Are there any other issues you're running into aside from no charas showing?

The characters not loading is a known issue with some of the newer versions of the Intel graphic drivers. The only real solution that I know of at the moment is installing an earlier driver.

I can't say for sure what number to get, but I'm sure a quick google search of FFXI and Intel graphics will lead you in the right direction. Otherwise head over to Intel's site and download the driver that is a couple of numbers older then what you have.
